He says, based on the liver damage occurring when Tori was alive, it's likely her head was damaged afterwards.

Pollanan says it was a hammer that caused the head injuries, but, he can't say which kind of hammer.

Carnegie putting forward the crown's theory of the crime (sex assault, kicking, hammer blows), asking if his findings match up.

"There's nothing in the medical evidence that would refute that", Pollanen says.

He notes abduction and sexual assault are beyond the scope of medical evidence.

She was hit full on in the face. OMG. JMO

These facial fracture injuries could have been caused by MR IMHO. He got sexually frustrated with Tori and punched her in the face, again JMHO. Sick, sick, sick. The fact that he was with this child from the time she got into his car until she ended up under those rocks proves he was involved, bottom line. Lock him up and throw away the key. Both of them. Just disgusting and heartbreaking to hear what was done to poor Tori. These are evil, sick minded people (I don't even like to classify them as people but...) and do not deserve to be free. Cage them up. :moo: The fact Tori was found without her little panties, tights and skirt on is a very strong indication she was sexually assaulted and I feel confident the jurors will find this as powerful evidence against MR. :moo:

Like TLM said she was being kicked and at the side of the car. Friggin animals these people, kicked her so hard he lacerated her liver, I can't say anymore about this without getting kicked off this site. Unbelievable, let the jury put out the real garbage. SO SAD

yes and a lacerated liver in itself even with treatment can result in death. It is a serious injury.:rocker: IMO

It is a natural instinctive response for people to protect their heads, by using their arms to deflect blows.

Is there any evidence that shows VS tried to protect her head?

If not, how was VS held so she couldn't protect her head?

Why didn't the testimony include whether Tori's remains were found prone or supine? If she was supine, the rocks could have caused the facial injuries. Otherwise (prone), it had to have been either the hammer or the kicks she suffered beforehand.

Just thinking out loud here:
If she was found in the fetal position, then doesn't that mean she was neither prone nor supine? Doesn't fetal position mean on her side or sort of on her side? :twocents:
