I think both of them had a lot of "contacts" and they bought whenever their contacts had supply. Sounds to me like the BA person had just filled a prescription that she wasn't planning on using and was willing to sell all or most of it to MR? And the rest of the time it was on a day to day basis, buying a few at a time? So the Guelph contact was a big score for MR?

I watched The Fifth Estate show on Oxycontin this morning (don't know the original air date, check their website) and from what people have said they went from the smaller dose up to 80mg really quick. Within weeks. These were people that were prescribed the medication for legitimate reasons. Not to get high which is what we have here with TLM & MR.

Well, TLM did say her shoulder was dislocated by her stepfather when she was young and that caused her pain. But with oxies (as the show said) it starts out it's for pain, but then quickly goes to abuse. If you remember the people in the show said 'it made them feel normal' exactly what TLM said it made her feel when she did Oxies.

Well it was, Purdue in the states was convicted of lying about the effects, addiction of Oxycontin and were fined something like 600$ million. Not in Canada tho.

Yes but I doubt MR & TLM were using "hillbilly herion" prescribed meds and if they are they are doctor shopping for prescriptions.

For the people that they showed on the Fifth Estate that were prescribed the meds after surgery or whatever it could happen to any of us. The doctor gives you medication and you take it because you trust them and a month later you *need* it to function.
