Da*n! All my hard work spinning a tale and I get tripped up because I have absolutely no sense of direction. Still, they say there is a fool born every day, and MR might have been behind the door when the smarts were being handed out. Now TLM on the other hand has the kind of street smarts and life experiences that you just can't learn from a book. She has lived a hard knock life, and is used to thinking on her feet in order to save her own butt. I think that is why the lies come so easily to her - she is very practiced and has had good examples in the art of living hand to mouth and abusing the system. She does know when it is appropriate to cry, to apologize, to be kind - but these are likely emotions that are very foreign to her - she is only mimiking what she has seen in others and doesn't have the actual emotions - except her anger, which is all encompassing.
I do think though that TLM formulated her plan on the fly - MR is lucky she doesnt drive or he may have found himself with a splitting headache - no witnesses.
Question: How is it that nobody has mentioned whether TLM was worried whether MR would turn her in or cave under questioning and give her up? Was the guy with the bloodshot eyes in the parking lot delivering a message from TLM or his mother that freaked MR out? Otherwise, why even mention him? It seemed like such a random comment from MR at the time.
Ah well, the defence hasn't asked for my help yet, cause you know I really, really want to pitch them the Banditos scenario, so I guess they feel they have it under control.
