Yes, that was on May 15th. Her counsel was present only when she gave her consent to provide a further statement (on May 19).



The further statements took place on May 19th. From Pages 3 and 4:


Her lawyer was not present on May 19th. There was nothing to prevent her from changing her mind, clamming up, and refusing to speak without a lawyer present.

JMO

It's the law that an attorney be present so that it doesn't come back to bite them, should she have gone to trial and claimed a confession was coaxed out of her. She refused and so was appointed one....what's the issue???

I am not sure how TLM would have been compelled to testify if she refused.

They could certainly drag her into court, but they couldn't force her to talk.

She is serving life in prison............so what could they do to her?

Smyth said lower branches of the trees were later removed by investigators and some brush was cleared to permit access by investigators

Police continued to move rocks, cut tree branches to assist in investigation. Also removed weeds and tall grass.
