Did I read there were no fingerprints on the rocks? Is that normal? Did they use gloves or what?

No prints, which is normal if the rocks are outside.

Police took photos during different seasons, trying to recreate what the scene would have looked like in April 2009.

Identification officer Gary Scoyne identifies photos surrounding the crime scene

Trees had no leaves in March 2010. Grass wasn't nearly as long.

Property owner added gate to the lane way in between July 2009 and March 2010.

Just wondering if anyone who is posting is actually in the court ??

As far as I know, only reporters are allowed to have PED in the courtroom. No public. HTH

Scoyne continues to identify more aerial views of the crime scene

In the April/March photos, the silos nearby are visible, as the trees have no leaves blocking the view.

Scoyne showing more of the March/April photos. Jury seeing a photo board.

Whatever the outcome, I give LE credit for their dedication and tenacity with this unimaginably evil, heartbreaking case.

Rocks would be a difficult surface to lift prints from. Especially ones that sat in the elements for that long.
Fingerprints are 99% water and 1% oils.

  • Before the break, jury was shown photos to illustrate McClintic's vantage point for certain events. Derstine didn't like the title.
