Glad that it is such a sunny day for the jurors to visit the site where the life of a beautiful child was stolen by monsters.

Yes that is the location, see the laneway on the right, the culvert and then up where the laneway ends there are large trees which is the recovery site.

According to that map, I get approximately 375 metres from the entrance of the lane way to the recovery site. Is that what the media has been reporting?

It also looks like the end of the lane way on this. That would mean, IMO, that the car would have to make a K turn near the rock pile in order to turn around and go back to the road.

Why do I get the distinct feeling the jurors are going to be sick looking at this. It's one thing to hear testimony of a crime and that makes you sick already but to be in the exact spot it happened is devastating.

Also, I do not believe at this point that MR didn't know this location prior,knew he needed enough gas to get there, a remote location in the middle of nowhere, this was apparently all random, impulse rape and he was high on drugs when this happened and than he went back. Also what woman can lift 109 pound rocks six times over! And the jury is supposed to believe he was coaxed?? This defense is at stupid point.

They are at the scene southeast of Mount Forest, Ont., where the judge says he hopes the jurors can get a better understanding of the evidence.

Members of the media will be allowed to view the area once the jury has left.

She's the only one who mentions MTR being there. Is this another one of her mistakes? Why has no other reporter Tweeted anything about it? He would not have been on the bus with the jurors, but brought with an LE escort separately. It will be interesting to find out the real story.

Antiquegirl to answer your question I saw no mENTION yet of of Rafferty and his lawyer @ the crime scenes ...but they are suppose to be there too !

..IMO they may be bringing him in later not with the jury but just guessing ...I will check back ...but above poster says the jury is finished and it is now 1;00 ...think the jury was due to arrive @12 ;00 (noon)...I am sure others are reading the london press twitter as I just did ....Hope this helped everyone understand more what is going on ....United we stand for Justice for Tori!...robynhood !

He is the defendant, he has to be there when jurors view or hear any evidence.

While it is his right to be there, I'm just wondering if perhaps he has given up that right for this jury viewing.

One thing defence lawyers don't like is for their client to appear to look like a prisoner in front of the jury. In the courtroom, while he is in the prisoner's box, which the defence also tried to prevent, I believe he is brought in before the jury and removed after the jury leaves. He wears regular street clothes and the jury likely doesn't see him in handcuffs or any other restraints.

Not sure if that would be the case on an outing such as this. He would likely be under heavy police guard so perhaps his lawyer thought it best that he not be brought in by police in any kind of restraints in front of the jury? Or perhaps his lawyer thought it best that he not be taken back to the scene for the first time with the jury there to gauge his reaction?

So perhaps he was not there? But you can guarantee his lawyer was.
