  • Explaining how the blood sample is collected.
@RaffertyLFP

  • McLean said she tested the area for blood and then a swab of the stain is taken back to the forensics centre for testing

I'm hoping that the reason the knife has been brought into evidence is that there is evidence that it is the knife.

  • #143
The small blood stain found on the car door was swabbed. Swab was kept for DNA testing

McLean said the DNA sample was analyzed and compared to Tori's. McClinitic's and Rafferty's DNA profiles

The blood sample was compared to the DNA profiles from Tori, Rafferty and McClintic.

How close could she have been to the door? Someone needed to kick her and apparently she already had a garbage bag over her head before the hammer was struck to contain the blood. IMO try kicking someone multiple times when the person is that close to the door, doesn't make any sense

from the rape? or assaults inside the car? or transferring of Tori's blood from objects they used or from their clothes?:twocents:

I sure hope they get this life sucker. JMO

· Close Open Details McLean says blood sample tested and compared to Tori Stafford DNA profile. Found Stafford could not be excluded as source #

McLean says Tori Stafford can't be excluded from matching the blood found on the rear door molding.

RaffertyLFP: McLean's report concluded that the chances that the sample was from someone other than Victoria Stafford was 1 in 28 billion

McLean says #ToriStafford could not be excluded as the source of the blood on the door.

The chance that a randomly selected person, not related to Tori, having the same match is 1 in 28 billion.

Blood spot was also tested for sperm cells The amount of cells tested was below the routine level, so results are subject to higher scrutiny

I've undoubtedly missed something but did not an Identification Officer testify last week he followed the 2 cars being towed to the OPP Ingersoll detachment after MTR's arrest?

I hate even saying this.

How well could a garbage bag hold up to multiple blows with a hammer? I think there is a good chance it ripped open or most likely the bag wasn't totally closed. It would be easy enough for blood to spurt through a small opening.

Explainer: "could not be excluded": 1. Person is source of DNA 2. person is not source but coincidentally shares same DNA profile

McLean said she found evidence of blood on rear passenger side door and seat area of Rafferty's car

McLean says she tested multiple areas on the vehicle for blood. There was blood near the rear passenger's side door.

Court is shown slide of moulding on rear passenger door where blood was detected

Showing the rear passenger door. There's a circle around the rubber molding, where the blood was found.

McLean says blood was found on the rear passenger side door and on the from passenger side seat of #Rafferty's Honda Civic

I believe that's suppose to say 'frame passenger side seat'. Front passenger seat?:what:

About MR's pea coat, he probably didn't get rid of it because it may have been bought for him as a gift from one of his many girlfriends or mom. How would he explain losing his pea coat?:what::waitasec::moo:

One nanogram (billionth of a smartie) of DNA is the maximum cutoff. A quarter of that is the minimum.

The blood spot was also tested for sperm cells and showed there was a mixture of DNA from two individuals

There's a mixture of DNA in the blood spot. Tori's was the "major" female contribution. There was also a minor contribution.

In this test, odds somebody unrelated to Tori provided for blood was 1 in 150 trillion.
