I am surprised we didn't hear much about the "infamous" pea coat, that TLM testified covered VS on the back seat for several hours.

Despite there being 40 places of interest to forensic scientists, the presence of saliva, 2 blond hairs, and DNA from other unknown people..............they didn't find a single sample of DNA from VS?

If MR cleaned the coat............all that other evidence wouldn't be there.

If MR didn't clean the coat.........VS DNA should be there (if TLM told the truth)

If TLM lied about it..........would it question the random abduction story?

Maybe I just missed something...................???

Another issue I am having is that MR and TLM DNA was found on the front passenger seat, where one would grab onto when getting out of the back seat. The way TLM described the second rape one would assume VS DNA would also be there. Since we know the area was not cleaned then why no DNA?

He told 25-year-old Ashley Reid, for instance, that he was "helping out a young girl" at a "juvie centre" near her house and "how good it would feel if he knew she got out of this and got on with her life and he'd had something to do with it."

What????? He is not scared of TLM or horrified of what she claims she did. This is obvious. JMO

Respectfully crazylady I agree with everything you say here but the bolded part. I still fail to see how drugs connected these people which lead to Tori's murder. Drug debt? I don't buy it. I would like to believe if that was the case, TLM would have admitted to that being the reason; she has nothing to lose and she admitted to being the one to killing Tori. Admitting to a drug debt would be nothing for her to admit to. I believe TLM when she said Tori was a random abduction. Everything we've heard today shows MR was the driving force behind Tori's demise.

Sadly, there are people who live with debilitating, chronic pain daily and need these medications in order have some relief from their pain. It is not the drug manufacturers fault these drug has been misused and abused, it is the doctors who are prescribing them unnecessarily and in large amounts. :moo:

They were sued in the U.S. and lost bigtime, to the tune of $600 million, I believe. Yes, it is a very dangerous, habit-forming drug. Apparently when taken for chronic pain its effectiveness diminishes over time and ever larger doses are needed. Only in recent years has the addictive nature of Oxy been publicized and now doctors are supposedly less free and easy in prescribing it, but not all doctors.

Court heard that from March 2009 until his arrest on May 19, Rafferty had dated at least 10 women — many at the same time.
During their testimony, Rafferty would stare at the women, and at times even smirked when they described their connection to him.

Is there anyone left who still thinks he might be innocent? This guy is guilty as sin! Can you imagine if you were one of the girls he dated who had to testify? Especially those who met up with him after he raped and murdered little Tori? There is no damn way that some other guy's bits of "stuff" was left between the car door frame and the door where it just "happened" to mix with Tori's blood! That is ridiculous! think about it! When a couple has sex in a car, how many do you know who do so with the door or doors open? What other explanation is there for him getting his junk mixed with Tori's on that car? Hear the deafening silence? That is because there is no other explanation! This guy raped and murdered Tori, cleaned her remains up as if she were a common household mess, and hid his handiwork! I hope to heaven he rots in jail where he clearly belongs! You think maybe Rod and his brother and perhaps Tara's brothers could have some private time with him in jail? How long was Tori in his company? Why do we continue to allow the damned guilty parties to have more rights than their victims? Enough is enough! Lock him up and toss the key! Same with TLM! There are people with common sense and then there are people who go by the good old justice book. Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The evidence can be flashing like a neon light, but a few will stand by the accused regardless of the facts, only because he hasn't had his day in court. I for one from the beginning used my common sense and saw those neon lights from the information shed before all this damaging evidence has come forward now in the courtroom. I have faith this jury is going to use their common sense also and believe what many here believe...Justice must be served for Tori. :moo:

Chambers broke down on the stand a number of times and had to take long pauses during her testimony.
When they first met, she said he "drew her heartstrings" because he confided in her about a stepson who had recently died.
"Being a mother, that's one of the worst things you can deal with, is losing a child," said Chambers. "So I . . . offered my support."
There is no proof Rafferty ever had any children.

What happens to VS is a horrible horrific nightmare for both her and those who loved her ...

Do I believe that he is Innocent of kidnapping, raping and killing VS… I don’t know I haven’t heard his side of the story yet.

I can tell you that I am not going to convict him because of what TLM has said … or because he dated a lot of women or that he lied about what he did for a living.

Do I believe he should be in prison? Yes … somehow and in some way a little girl was killed and buried under rocks and he knew about it …

My issue is that TLM, like so many other young people who lived the life she has are being lost to us because our system has failed us. For at least 5 years they knew she needed help yet they still let her out before she got it. WASNT she picked up on a probation violation for missing her therepist appointment ... Did she miss it before or after VS died?

No one has to go on what TLM said in her testimony. Go with all the other evidence that has been presented so far during MR's trial. TLM's testimony is now proving to be correct as everything is now falling into place. HTH

Rafferty told Cooney he didn't get along with his brother, she said. Court heard from another woman Thursday who said Rafferty told her he had a few brothers but wasn't close to them.
