So where did they find the brand new pair of Pumas that were shown in evidence photos? I was always under the impression they were found in JW's car. When did he buy them and where?

MOO

they were found in her car in the front passenger area:

Macright, that doesn't prove anything really :) Every canadian citizen is entitled to hold a passport(it's your right), even if you have a record. The only thing is, if someone with a record decides to go to another country, the host country can refuse entry. Is that what you meant?

And for the host country:

Some additional exceptions exist. For example, a Canadian citizen who has a criminal record or any other ineligibility might be required to apply for a visa.

understand what you are saying but I think there are exceptions to that rule..I know the reasons listed on this link may not have applied to MR at the time but there are exceptions to that "right"

respectfully....I did not read that he gave her his passport...but I did read that he gave her his birth certificate...I find this rather strange but also I do know that when I cross the border with more than one in the car it is the driver who gathers up the passports and hands them to the custom officer..maybe if this was not a popular border that they crossed over and the custom officer accepted a birth certificate with ID that J would could have passed them over and then maybe she put same into her purse for safe keeping...just saying... if he indeed does hold a CDN passport then he does not have a record or any outstanding charges against him (well at that time)...JMO

I meant birth certificate not passport. Passport was on my mind when discussing border crossings.

you could in may 2009....law changed in June 2009 that a passport was required.

read post 509 for the link

you are correct FF...I was lost in the moment meaning 2012...so I guess it was possible to enter the US with photo ID other than a passport... I stand corrected...

Christie Blatchford wrote about his demeanor while certain witnesses were on the stand. I seem to recall that it was written MR couldn't take his eyes off Alexis and he had tears in his eyes that day. I also read a tweet today that said he had told someone he was going to marry her. Maybe her breaking up with him was the catalyst that put the chain of events into action? Not sure if this was discussed earlier today as I haven't read back on earlier posts yet.

respectfully...I am not seeing at this stage how LE did a fantastic job..

It was TM herself that put LE on to TLM
It was TLM (after being told the jig was up that put LE on to MR
It was TLM that told LE about the drug stop, HD & Timmies
It was TLM who half assed told LE where to look for body (but held the actual location back)
It was a sudden revelation to Smyth to search the area that TS was found in
It was a stranger that found the shoes even though LE trolled the highways
It was a G/F that mentioned the BB

Lord I could go on and on but you get the idea eh...the rest of the footwork they did as would be expected...follow up on info received from others..

JMO

They did a fantastic job because they got this information from her IMO.

Did the OPP officer say he was in Woodstock when he saw the car? Highway 59 goes south quite a way away from Woodstock. It leads to the 401 south from Woodstock, but aren't OPP highway cops? Wouldn't the Oxford police be on Norwich Ave, leading to the 401? JMO

IMO with all the security at the USA borders I doubt MR would have gotten very far state side...they are much more on the ball than their Cdn. counterparts...JMO

He had just returned from the States. He crossed the border: like many people keep pointing out, he didn't have a criminal record, so why do you think he wouldn't have been able to go again just a few days later?

County Road 59 goes south to Norwich, Arthur's Corners and ends at Delhi. OPP jurisdiction. JMO

Just had to add to the list of "jobs" Rafferty said he had or is believed to have had
Can't wait to hear what he actually did do as a living

Every single job below is what Rafferty specifically told people

-Contractor
-Landscaper
-worked a better beef in Guelph
-Dance Instuctor
-was said to be in college working towards a Veterinary Assistant
-Caretaker (for his Mother) & TLM's Mother
-Possible drug traffic
-As MR stated in the LE interview, he also worked at Glen Abbey.
-And I believe he was a chef, trained at George Brown.
-working under the table
-Dance Instructor
-Had his own Contracting Business
-Snow Plower
-HR-hiring person for construction sites
-worked @ Juvenile Detention Centre(London on Oxford St)
-Teacher Dance Class
-Ballroom Dance Teacher
-degree in Kinesiology and Culinary Arts

IMHO why would any guy looking for a meaningful, long term relationship lie about his career and degrees? His ad on POF said: Mychol-I only want one, the one, HER in my life!

I do not for one second believe MR was looking for such. MR was using women for someone to mooch of off, a bed to sleep in, someone to take him out on dates, taxi him around, sex, anything he could get from them. Scares me to think he dated women with children, knowing what we know now, I don't think it was a case of him not minding or liking children; he wanted to get "close" to children. And the fact that he capitalized HER in that comment is kinda strange IMO. *scratches head*

Wowzers, a lot of lies in his POF account. I like the second one, at the bottom: Must not do drugs, Must not smoke. lol his girlfriend from 2005 said he was doing drugs back then. Eesh! And MOO

has it been established yet if MR held a Cdn passport...in order to cross the border into the states one must have a passport...I do it at least once a month..one time a photo ID served the purpose but now at the border crossings that I enter a passport is a must...I read where J. had his birth certificate so I guess this is what he used to cross for the shopping spree...I am surprised if he was able to use this now but maybe because of the recession in the USA some border guards are not that fussy...CDN's have contributed greatly to the US economy in the past couple of years and I have even noticed a change in the custom guys (state side) they are not above sharing a joke or two now with you (something that I never experienced before this year)...it's the Cdn custom guys now that can be rather haughty...JMO anyway if J was off to Vegas I would assume she was flying down there so if MR was planning on hitching a ride with her via air he would indeed need a passport...just wondering....

BBM1:You might want to look up to see when that law came into effect.
BBM2:<modsnip> we are talking about things that happened in 2009<modsnip>

respectfully....the reason I think he would not have gotten too far at that time was because I think he was on LE's radar from the 15th of May onwards...if that was the case then I am thinking that he may have been tailed and who knows maybe LE alerted the border just in case he tried to make a run for it...anything is possible IMO... just saying....

That was something i posted about several threads back. Rafferty and shoes??? Not sure why but it strikes me as one of the oddest things. I have to admit it makes me laugh. One of the few things laughable. Who buys a woman he barely knows a pr. of running shoes? Odd gift. If the La Senza bag contained La Senza I have this mental picture of it with a pr. of Pumas ROFLMAO. Perhaps i am just weary tonight LOL

The OPP have taken over contracts in some towns across Ontario.

Yikes! You don't happen to have a 905 area code, do you? LOL

(jusk kidding)

Nope luckily lol, I found it quite amusing actually. I was showing everyone in class the next day. Not long after some girl was sending texts and I was like sorry wrong number. She apologized, then right after sent me another text, i sent one back letting her know it was still the wrong number :). BTW were are our smilies?

I think it was Alexis that he told someone he wanted to marry.

Maybe the reality of his situation caught up with him for second, and he thought about what could have been........instead of where he is today.

It must be a surreal feeling to be in a courtroom, having all that attention focused on you. Having all those eyes watching your every movement. And just sit there......quietly.........while others argue your fate.

Guilty......tough luck dude.......you deserve it.

Innocent...........how do we ever make it right, when an innocent person's life is destroyed by such inflammatory charges?

JMO...........
