I agree with you. The crime scene (as stated by LE) was far too contrived for this to be a random occurence in my opinion.

The point is, my opinion is no straight guy is going to go through all that effort for a strange woman staying at his place unless he's at least contemplative of some "tiger" on "tigress" activities later on. "I'm your tiger"? "You're my tigress"? I live in hipster central, Brooklyn, USA, and if no hipster couple would put up with that scenario.

The flirting is transparent. If they're both single, of course, no one would care.

Earlier today somebody (I'm so sorry, I don't remember the nick) suggested she might have another email address. Makes sense to me and I felt dumb for not thinking about that before. Almost everyone has more than 1 email address these days (you can disagree).


IF she was talking to any of the IGmers in a "more than friends" way she probably wouldn't have done it in the email that her husband has the password for.

(Or maybe she didn't know that her husband knows her password?)

Still a possibility.

That's why it SUCKS so hard we don't have her iPad. I know NYC chicks, and I would say a couple of things about those who are in relationships but like to play around. First off, their IM's and emails are always going to look as pure as the driven snow. Anything incriminating is immediately deleted. Secondly, they are likely to have alternate IM accounts and email addresses for...ahem...certain folks...

But didn't that Person who saw her near the Topkapi Palace with card carrying guide see her before the 20th? So she could have visited some of the sites during her stay. I was surprised she didn't go anywhere else in Turkey- even Ephesus for a day. The airfare is incredibly cheap! But maybe she was focused on Istanbul and didn't know much about the country.

I'm confused of the dates she was supposedly seen in Topkapi. I seriously doubt she went to Efes. Airfare might be cheap, but its not easy to get to on your own. And I don't think she had a lot of spending money.

Lavy, does it say that LE actually saw this on video surveillance, or that this is their theory? We know she evidently crossed that street at some point if she was on video at the beach/near the water side. I'm leaning towards it being their *theory* b/c they are trying to say it is random. And that would fit with a random attack: noticed the doors, went to take pics, then was attacked.

ETA: I would think a man with class would at least rent a nice hotel room for the occasion.

He would do all of those nice romantic things if he were "romantically or emotionally attached" But he probably would not if he just wanted to hit and run or just get his rocks off for the evening.

How do we know SS didn't initiate the act? Traveling abroad to a never before visited place you sometimes cut loose.
