I'm surprised they also haven't blamed Obama for this. They blame him for everything else.

I've been lurking this whole time..I was wondering if organ smuggling has been brought up? In the one of the first reports they thought she was stabbed..could it possibly have been from removal of her kidney? The reason she was killed possibly because she went through with it and was not paid and was threatening to turn them in? Just throwing this out there if it hasn't been talked about..

This would be evident about 1.7 minutes into the autopsy and I doubt we would be scrutinizing everyone under the sun if such information was found.

Miziree,
I don't believe we have discussed it. I tend to rule it out because I think if the people were selling organs and then killed her, they'd have strip-mined her body of everything they could get. It is an interesting suggestion though and one we haven't seen yet.

Welcome.

I think initial reports said something about stabbing around her torso, but as of late I've only read about a hip injury on the right side.

Organ trafficking sounds like things of urban legends. I know it does happen, but I hear about it in Egypt, India, or sadly using organs from those who are executed in China for Western tourists.

Also, if that were the case why not use a homeless person or someone society might not notice being gone?

No worries. I myself use the term "backward" sometimes. :)

But Third World is just something else.

Also, I really don't mind any prejudices or stereotypes about Turkey. They don't happen out of nowhere. And there are really many negative things about Turkey. Especially when relevant, they should all be brought up. I really don't mind.

Life would become unbearable if we had to weigh every single word before we say it.

Life is just too short for that.

Agreed, but let's try to focus on sensible prejudices. Most of the stuff I've seen written here doesn't make sense (a woman have to cover certain parts or would be considered a prostitute, for instance, is ridiculous).

The new information in the article found by Munich is from the Daily Mail UK.

From this we know:

1. There are some true facts in the article.
2. Not all the facts are true.
3. They have a very sensationalist slant and are never shy of printing scandalous headlines to increase viewership, regardless whether these headlines are exactly and only the truth or not.

I'm surprised they also haven't blamed Obama for this. They blame him for everything else.

I took away from it, perhaps hopefully, that if only 5% has been disclosed that the other 95% will prevent this case from going cold. Could be true, might not be, but it will give me a little peace of mind for the time being.

In the same article it states:

"Aware that he is under the intense scrutiny of both the FBI and the media, he denounced them both on his Instagram site, alongside a picture of two toy pigs placed in an assimilated sex position.
'Media writes, goes home, gets paid, pay bills and don't give a ***** only about some juicy stories with no real or fact checked stories. Police should do their work. If you fart on the planet the FBI is on yo [sic] 🤬🤬🤬 with some satellite *****.' "

I took the time to read the article during our nice siesta that we had for awhile. He posted that awhile ago and I think it was discussed here. I, for one, agreed with him for being ticked off -- b/c I assumed he was innocent and that LE wasn't looking at him.

But the way this article is mentioned, they drag him right back into the thick of things. I'm just trying to decipher if it is bad journalism (they even have "suspect" under his picture: "Suspect: One person who is believed to be talking to investigators is Ammer Reduron who Sarai connected with on Instagram in the months before her trip and stayed with while she was in Amsterdam) or if there is really something more to his involvement.

And there's this teeny tiny clue that she may have been involved with something not so kosher....what was that detail...:waitasec:

Oh yeah, she's dead and they found her body hidden. That's right. :P

So if you were the lead detective on the case, your initial assumption that because she is dead and not where you expected to find her body, that she was involved in something "not kosher". Therefore you are implying that any foreigner who dies in Turkey would possibly have to be involved with something "not kosher". Which of course, is what we call "victim blaming", but I would rather not get into that discussion, that is your bias for whatever reason.

Well, you basically answered my question anyways by saying " teeny tiny clue that she may have been". Yes, it is a very small relationship between the two, and this I can agree on with you, even if you did not intend to state it as such.

I believe the stabbing reports are false. Also I'd be willing to bet if someone wanted to kill her for her organs, she would have been drugged and placed in an ice water bathtub.

If this is a planned thing, it is the most unprofessional of all. If a real professional planned it, LE would never find the body. The perps had a lot of time to get rid of the body. If this staged to look like a random attack by a professional, then we would have never suspected this.

Taylan is the one who suggested they tour the peninsula. If Taylan was in it, he would have never told this to LE. Assuming Taylan's not part of this, this must be a random attack. Noboy knew she was there. If she made calls to ask people to join her, LE would have already found out and arrested someone.

It's only in the CSI shows that the perps make some mistakes so that they can wrap it up in 40 minutes.

:banghead:
Based purely on where she was found, and based on what I know of her from her October 2012 comments on IG to Ammer, it seems to me that it's possible she went to the walls to photograph the graffiti, and that while there she was accosted by one or more people who intended to rape her. I believe she fought back hard, and the assailant(s) may have unintentionally murdered her in the struggle. This makes sense to me based on the condition of her clothing. The assailant (s) may have left the jewelry because it was too bloodied, and because their original intention wasn't robbery. Perhaps the ipad and phone were in the purse, but the assailant didn't realize it and took her purse simply hoping there would be money in it. The person may have also grabbed her coat to conceal the handbag as he fled with it.
As to the woman who saw the white car and the hand, perhaps she had second hand knowledge of what had happened, and made up the story to lead police to her body.

Organ theft or trafficking certainly doesn't make sense. Matching donors and beneficiaries isn't quite the simple task it's often thought as. You can't just rip off organs and preserve them for long time until a suitable beneficiary turns up. Unwilling donors being victims of organ mafia is an urban legend.

I go back to Brandon Lincoln Woodard, that was a planned hit in broad daylight here in NYC Manhattan, some say that was the most unprofessional hit, I say it was a very unprofessional successful hit because the killer still has not been captured. The point and risk...someone wanting to send a message.

Excellent example. Known drug mule, asked to meet at a specific locale and cleanly executed. SS bares no resemblance.

I'm in the NY area and my son has a Samsung Galaxy S III through Verizon. What is the question? :waitasec:

If I can know which operators that has coverage in New York offer Galaxy S3 on a contract basis, I can eliminate some of the North American variants of the device from the possible matches. And then, if we can confidently identify which variant she had, we can conclude whether it's possible to track it in Turkey and whether it would be profitable to resell and make profit. Those can reveal some details over the robbery angle.

I brought it while looking about for smuggling in Turkey and read this article.. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/1...d-international-probe-into-organ-trafficking/ they did mostly use poor people..just thought maybe she might have done it for the money which is around 5,000 to 10,000 in Turkey from what I have read.. I'm not saying this is what happened..I think it was someone she meet online and turned him down or she took a photo of something she shouldn't have..

I wonder how one goes about legal-wise getting a DNA sample from a Dutch citizen in Holland if you are the Turkish LE?

I don't know offhand, but in addition to Verizon, probably AT&T and Sprint. I had an existing contract with Verizon and used an upgrade.

I've never considered or thought organ trafficking could be a topic. Those who traffic organs tend to pay people in developing countries small sums and leave them alive with insufficient medical care.

In most of these instances (drug mule, organ "donors", etc.) it seems more likely to find a willing, typically financially unstable participant than attacking a random person or planting drugs on them so they unknowingly are a courier.

I was thinking more along the lines as a willing donor..

Whole thing does not look professional at all, except of course it was intended to make it appear unprofessional to throw the lead off. But then again, unless someone can explain how on earth it would be possible to smuggle drugs via Air Travel post 9/11, so far there's no promising theory to allow this thing being a professional job. Mule thing doesn't make sense, as Turkish airports have top of the line security and scanning systems.

A mule perhaps can swallow the contraband, or place it in certain body cavities. That's the most plausible way that an individual can pull it off. But the amount wouldn't be very much, would it be really profitable for a mule to make a run which won't turn out a lot of profit and the cut would be equally unattractive? Can we really consider that SS was so desperate that she would risk herself for a lowly cut? Risks would outweigh the benefit. Even if she was unwilling, the whole mule thing doesn't make sense. If you are unwilling, then you just turn yourself in at the Airport, or get rid of the damn package, and board the plane, skip town. You'd be safe.

Many of these news "sources" are not news. It is like a bunch of children coloring in a coloring book, where most of the coloring is happening way outside the lines, just making up their own image as they go a long. We of course, try to discern what they were trying to draw by looking at the facts we know from the lines. If they muddle up past the lines too much, the whole initial picture makes no sense at all. They don't care though, it is art to them. Children will be children.
