I think you would make a fiendishly clever killer.
Ummmm. . .thank you. . .I think??!! :what:

Thought experiment: If I'm the perp, and I've just killed someone, what's the smartest thing I can do? Take the jacket off the body, use the jacket to push the body into a nearby fetid blanket crawling with the DNA of one or more homeless who have used it, and use the blanket to move and cache the body. Protecting my bare hands with the jacket, rub the blanket all over the body to transfer blanket trace DNA all over the body. Rub the blanket under the fingernails as well.
I hope they have solid DNA evidence in this case, because as you great Websleuths well know, DNA is not the smoking gun proof of popular imagination. Bet2173 cited the Munevver Karabulut murder case (post #1059) where improper handling of a body allowed trace DNA to mislead LE for some time. Another famous example is the German serial killer, the famous Phantom of Heilbronn, who turned out not to exist -- investigators on multiple murders were turning up traces of the DNA of factory workers who made the cotton swabs they used to collect DNA!
Just because some DNA is on the scene of the killing means little.
We really need to know where the DNA was found, what type of fluids/transfers, etc.
[This has been the Cmac2 "reasonable-doubt-without-full-on-tinfoil-hat-conspiracy" special...]
If she were killed elsewhere, you would also have to save some of her blood to transfer to the rock and dirt ground.
They have video of her leaving the street her AirBnb residence was on (see the NY Daily News article for details - LINK).
At 11:33 a.m. on Jan. 21, Sarai Sierra packed up her cell phone and iPad, shuffled out of her rented room and swung open the basement apartments iron door.
It was the last full day of the 33-year-old Staten Island mothers trip to Istanbul, and she wasnt about to spend it inside.
Sierra never returned to the apartment that afternoon, and the young mother of two never got on her flight out of the country the following day setting off a massive police search.
My "thought experiment" assumes she was killed where on-scene evidence shows. There would be no need to do anything with her blood. The killer could simply proceed to use the homeless blanket to contaminate the body, the murder weapon, whatever he might have wished.
It's a possibility that careful analysis of the DNA evidence should exclude.
We just don't know anything at all of what sort of DNA evidence there is.
If it can be proven to be thorough, convincing evidence, I will follow to whatever perp it leads to, homeless or not.
I agree, I do not think it looks like her either. #1 not her style #2 the hair in this picture looks shorter than SS hair

She must have thrown her boots into the Bosphorus because that bag she is carrying is not carrying those wedge-shaped boots.
http://www.internethaber.com/saraini...li-504455h.htmWhich image? Sorry, haven't been here in awhile. I saw one where she was wearing a red shirt, jacket slung over shoulder? That one?
That's very true.
But since they have so many from that day, the photo with the "step" could be from earlier. Saying they are the last two is probably the press sensationalizing.
The "13:29" one could well be Cankurtaran, and the "last" one. But they keep pushing back the time of the "last" sighting, so it pays to be prudent!
Overall, these photos don't really alter our previous timeline -- yet. But they may be holding back images after "13:29". Wish we could look at them all.
thank you! This is the one I have seen - there was a woman pulled from the water in this area with a red shirt on at around the same day they found Sarai- that was why I asked - she looked also very similar to Sarai but they said she was not Sarai.
??what??!!....do you have a link?? Unbelievable coincidence, serial killer, or what?thank you! This is the one i have seen - there was a woman pulled from the water in this area with a red shirt on at around the same day they found sarai- that was why i asked - she looked also very similar to sarai but they said she was not sarai.
On the image with the step, it says 13:29 aka 130pm. That image with the 1:30 time mark is not cankurtan. There would be not buildings with steps like that, along Kennedy in cankurtan, because there are no buildings on Kennedy in cankurtan. So if at 1:30 she was not at cankurtan, then she was either seen in cankurtan after 1:30 (which would alter our timeline), or she was never seen on video in cankurtan and the last video they have of her is elsewhere, like in eminonu (which would change perhaps our understanding of knowing just where she disappeared from).
It's so hard to say the accuracy of the information we received so its hard to make sense of any of this.
All I know is, if the last video of her is at 1:30, then the video footage of her time stamped 1:30 is not in cankurtan.
If she were killed elsewhere, you would also have to save some of her blood to transfer to the rock and dirt ground. There may even be splatter on the walls based on what's been reported about the severity of the head wound, don't know how one would do that. Maybe she's still alive when transported to the caves. Then explain why she needs to be transfered another 100 meters from the original cave.
I believe it probably was someone who lived in the caves.
Do you think it could be this woman?
There is some discussion about whether this is really SS or not.
I don't know. I found this:

on youtube. . But then, they said this woman pulled out of the sea was not SaraiS
