I'm sure everyone noticed that the police guy with the smart phone pulled up photos of SS. Why, if they thought she'd be murdered on ground and dragged to a cave? They had her body. Why all the checking of the cell phone photos of her? I can imagine they might be looking at a serial killer, but that's about all. Maybe someone who preys on women who bear a physical resemblance to SS.

Police checking her smart phone? If I understand correctly, they are trying to find any and all information that could lead them to the murderer. Or?

Yes I think your right. I believe the woman's body in the water was found only a few days before Sarai's body was found at the walls, if memory serves me right I think it was about 4 days before Sarai's body was found.

I'm beginning to think the two women's death might be related but not in that way. For sarai to happen upon a murder, would mean she would of had to wander to that place alone, and that I just really don't believe. It would also mean that just per chance another crime was taking place at that spot in broad daylight. I'm not sure that adds up for me.

I'm more curious if this other woman, the one with the red shirt pulled from the water, is the same woman who was mistaken as sarai on video on the 21st. And IF she is the woman, on the 21st, and its not sarai, then when did sarai actually go missing?

And if that footage on the 21st isn't Sarai, but the woman pulled from the water then is that just a coincidence tan someone who looked liked sarai and was even mistaken for sarai, also ended up dead? Or was she hired to look like sarai, and then disposed of after.

Very strange. It's just that not even Krysp thinks the woman on the 21st is sarai. So could she actually be the one found in the water? They were both wearing red shirts.

Makes sense to me, too, especially since that supposed photo of SS with the long har, red shirt, small bag, etc., never really looked all that much like SS to me. I think that was a pic of the woman they fished out of the water.

Didn't TaylanK say they went to the bar on Jan 20 evening? That would have been verified by interviewing people at the bar and by checking surveillance images.

There would also be surveillance images of her going home Jan 20. Even if she went a different route, there would be images that would show whether or not she got close to the street where the apartment was.

Now if she was hatless and wearing a red shirt in any of the footage of Jan 20, then the Superintentant of Police might actually be correct that she was seen in the same clothes on Jan 20, but mixing up the food court footage with bar or late night footage.

LE would have really scrubbed TaylanK's account of that evening and verified it.

That video was posted a few days before Sarai was found. I remember watching it on youtube in suspense praying that it was not Sarai. When the guy showed the other guy Sarais picture on the phone, I'm sure he was asking him if he thinks that the woman fished out of the water was Sarai

And with this Ziya guy, could it be he went to go to his spot, and found a dead body there, and freaked out and ran and fell and got muddy and cut up cause he was a mess from seeing a dead body in his home, not because he just committed a murder?

Yes, that is true. They had found her close to where Sarai was found later.

They could have some survelliance of her going home on the 20th, or at least someone going home that looked like her. However I doubt there is survelliance video on the street she actually lives, so it may be possible if you got home taking side roads, not main roads, or by car, how she or someone else could have gotten to her apartment and evaded cameras.

Also if something did happen to sarai on the 20th, not the 21st, but cops are thinking she disappeared on the 21, then they aren't verifying taylans where about on the 20th but rather on the 21st. It's a pretty good cover for him. If they knew she went missing on the 20 and Taylan admitted to being at a bar with her that night, and witness and cameras could verify this, then he would look a lot more suspicious being the last person to be known to be with her on the night she disappears. But he's safe if the think she disappeared the 21st, because he can say he never saw her that day. If messages were sent from her devices that day, both to Taylan and to her sister, it would be even more convincing she was still alive on the 21st. And you throw in this girl that looks like her.....

Yes, it's sad. I know someone who knew the family. Jessica was a really sweet girl and came from a wonderful family.

There was a lot of misinformation about the times of the texts related to the time she actually died just like in this case. As in this case the LE certainly did not share with the media and lots of misinformation and other stuff was in the papers. It went on for quite a while. I thought you might have followed it.

That said, I have no workable theories for this case, but relating to the girl in the pics, I would imagine the investigators have shared with the family and if they are satisfied it's her in videos and images, that's all that counts.

If you watch the video of her at the airport going through security, you can see that her hair is still long - or was at least up until that point.

I also strongly believe she would not have her hair cut in Turkey. I just cannot see that.

In the video of the boat pulling up the woman in the water, there's a guy (police) by the side of the boat who has a smart phone, and he keeps pulling up photos of Sarai Sierra - first the classic one of her with the hat and scarf and then the "supposed" one of her with her hair down and sunglasses and a small purse and flared jeans, etc. (which may actually have been photos of the woman found dead in the water and not SS at all).

Im curious as to if the woman that was fished from the water is under investigation as well. Its just weird how within a few days 2 woman were found dead in the same area.

Which means she must have had some visual resemblance to sarai right? Because if she had no resemblance he wouldn't have even bothered to look in the first place.

Jan 21 red shirt lady was seen on 20 cameras. One is very close to the street the apt is on. Not on it exactly, as it's almost an alley but on the corner with the big yellow-orange building.

LE should have verified surveillance footage from the day she stepped foot in Istanbul airport to the last view on camera. This case is that important. No stone being unturned and that stuff.

well, I would hope they review the footage with her family before putting it out there. Not to sure about that. But my question to that would be, how would they review the footage with the family from 5,000 miles away? Unless, its over the computer somehow.

Or maybe she had already been dragged from one cave to the other by the perp....something about the crime scene has always seemed staged to me, so I'm not sure
