I am quite sure they do not have women's rest rooms in Turkish bars (unless a touristy one)...my point was were they supposedly doing it in the men's room?....no.
IMO Taylan might well be gay, so...no tryst in bar with SS.
Good Samaritan ...too much of a stretch, but why?

No women's restrooms,

Sex in men's restroom,

Makes Taylan gay

We don't know if they were trying to make her face unrecognizable. They were just trying to kill her or perhaps silence her.

LE said that the blows have made her face (almost) unrecognizable. To suggest that her face was hit that hard and repeatedly.

If somebody had wanted to make her unrecognizable, they would have done it so. But since she was reported missing, that would still be a vain attempt. Every female body discovered around that time was first checked to see if it was SS. And the body would be discovered sooner or later in that cave.

Grrr, obviously her face was not blown to smithereerns. Otherwise no one would recognize her unless they used her dental records. And I disagree with almost everything you've written from here.

Nobody attempts to kill someone when they know that there is a chance that they may be linked to the crime.

Huh? That makes little sense. Criminals are not always logical. In fact, many murders are committed on impulse, based on emotions -- momentary rage -- heat of the moment, heat of passion, etc. So these murderers are not logically evaluating whether they will be linked to a crime before they commit the murders.

Obviously there are premeditated murders too, and I suppose you can rationalize that to mean the murderers were "logical" in their kills as they took time and meticulously planned the kills, perhaps carefully assessing how to best not get caught, how not to be "linked" to the crime -- in your words.

Yashim said:
And call me biased, but I don't think Turks are capable of committing crimes.

Yes, I'd say that's extremely prejudicial and biased. So Turks are all saints and living without sins. How did this happen? Were they carefully selected by God to possess permanent sainthood? :waitasec:

Yashim said:
But even when they do, it's hard to direct such rage towards someone they know unless they are psychopaths. And if this was the case, SS would have avoided them.

Not true. Husbands kill wives and wives kill husbands, etc. I don't think just because you were born a Turk that suddenly you lose all human characteristics such as anger, rage, jealousy, arrogance, etc.

As I said, many murders tend to result from intense emotions gone-awry, momentary lapse of reasoning.

Furthermore, it's not easy to read a potential murderer. Many murderers are good at hiding their true inner demons. Otherwise no one would get killed, and certainly not by someone they know or lived with, correct?

So unless Sarai was a mindreader and can perceive a murderer on sight, she could not avoid the murderer.

Therefore, it's a random act of violence committed by a hobo, age 25-30, weight 60 kg, height 1.70 m.

lol So exact with the physical descriptions of the perp? I resolutely differ in my opinion.

Maybe Sarai got lost that morning, and asked directions from the owner of the white car, who then offered her a ride? Maybe that person offered to show her something (his photos?) in his apartment, and she accepted?

Does Taylan own a white car? Did he drive to the site where he was supposed to meet Sarai?

Yashim stop adding to the silliness, people might take you seriously

We have gone in circles these last few days, it's time for new information or let the LE make a statement. :please:

Yes, just look how Yashim is starting to crack under the strain......:banghead:

I didn't do anything.

Did you see what Sandoval's written?

Don't take it personally.

They do that to me too.

They are offering tea like they have just discovered it, as if Alexander Fleming is offering some freshly discovered penicillin to a sick child.

And I don't even like tea. But the carpet guys don't accept no.

So, I tell them I just had tea. They say let's get you linden. You say it makes you sick. They say sick? One of them yells "Ali, get our brother some mint tea".

So, you take your gun out and shoot Ali, and think that he is dead. Then all of a sudden you see he's not there anymore, he's gone. You turn around and he's coming at you with apple tea.

One way or another I end up drinking some thing hot, which always burns my tongue.

Believe me it's not personal.

Somewhere in that anecdote, I got lost when Ali got pistol whipped. :floorlaugh:

I just quoted the Turkish Criminal Procedures Code.

Nobody's reading my posts?

Without me, this investigation will get nowhere.

Well, I was trying to catch up with the thread and was trailing from behind, your honor. When I saw your post it was already too late. :)

10 days of decomposition, insects, and vermin can do strange things, too.

The cool temps would have slowed decomposition. As far as vermin, there is very little wild life in Istanbul, unless you mean the cats and dogs.

Thanks, I'll have even sweeter dreams now.

It depends on the establishment. Some places do have separate ladies rooms, some offer the unisex arrangement. If you are on the bathroom sex angle, trust me, even with separate ladies restrooms, bathroom quickies happen, it's not unusual for Istanbul.

Ok. Why do you think TK is gay? Besides the earring thing which has been done to death and stopped really being an accurate way to "cruise" men like 25 years ago?

And why on earth would there not be a WC for women in a bar in Istanbul?

Those pictures are of Tarkan NOT Taylan

Who is Tarkan? He takes lots of photos. Some bridges and houses. Some pretty women. Lots of really cute cats.

Can I laugh at this without seeming like I'm mocking (which I'm not, won't do that to a fellow sleuther)? :)

I shall not forget your forum handle while writing my suicide note. My sleuthing virtue has been insulted. I cannot live with this agony. :)

He is also someone who SS had as an IG friend, but they had very little interaction on IG, and never met in Istanbul. When the Taylan Tarkan what's his real name thing got going, people looked at SS 's IG saw a Tarkan and assumed it was him....it's NOT.

They are two separate people.
