How would they be able to make it through the crush without also getting crushed though? People were jumping on top of the ambulance.

IMO if the lights would have been turned on and an announcement was made by TS asking people to stop moving toward the stage and explaining that people were injured, in need of help and dying, the crowd (at least the majority of them) would have understood.

Astroworld Lawsuit: 110 Plaintiffs Against Travis Scott & Live Nation

The San Antonio lawyer who filed the first lawsuit last weekend over the tragic events at the AstroworldFestival now says he has over 100 clients who are part of the legal action.

“I represent now about 150 people,” Thomas J. Henry said. “That lawsuit will be amended day by day. It’s about 110 people at the moment, but I expect probably by tomorrow lunch it’ll be about 150 and, by the end of the day based on the trends I am seeing and people reaching out to my law firm, that it may get as high as 200 by the end of the day tomorrow.”

I live in a college town, and on football (home) game days, I frequently experience connectivity problems with my cell phone. Currently, I mainly have problems with mobile data, but in years past, I have had no text or voice service at all.

I can believe that cell service at Astroworld could have been negatively affected by the sheer number of people trying to connect to cell towers in the area. All JMO. I am no expert on mobile networks, but perhaps we have someone here who can expand on this problem.

I am sure that I have read witness accounts that referenced an inability to contact others via mobile during the event. I seem to remember that the ICU nurse, who assisted several people after she herself had passed out in the crowd, mentioned similar communication problems. JMO

I think that problems with communication in mass casualty incidents have been known about (and was mentioned in the 9/11 Commission report IIRC) for a long time. Relying solely on regular, public, mobile networks seems to be a problem. JMO.

There are companies who are working to provide special mobile communications for first responders. For example, AT&T First Net
Nationwide Broadband For First Responders & Public Safety at FirstNet

Cell phone communication issues at large events are well known, and that is why all medical and security personnel carry radios for communication.

At some of the large events where I have worked Verizon has brought in portable communication towers on trailers. These trailers are parked in parking lots or in the infield at race events. While it does assist with cell phone usage, medical staff and security still rely on radio for communication.

Update on Ezra Blount, the little 9 y.o. that was trampled, with details from his father. He says they were in the back!!

What strikes me most is the father's explanation that little Ezra is a T.S. fan through McDonald's and Fortnite.

SMH. It feels like tobacco companies that marketed to children back in the day.

The article above is stunning in that the details it reports are so very similar to the Astroworld tragedy EXCEPT that this Pearl Jam disaster occurred OVER 20 YEARS AGO in Denmark.

How in the world did we let it happen again 21 years later???
We MUST demand mandates that change the way concerts are managed from here on out. WE cannot pretend this is OK.

Maybe he’s scared to reach out too to them and how would he have their contact information? They are obviously hurt and angry so I can understand why he wouldn’t go to the hospital anyways. It was different for Ariana Grande as she wasn’t being held responsible in the eyes of the public.
I’m sure he knows he’s probably going to lose everything and he already has lost a lot.
We don’t know how he feels.

They appear to be suing Live Nation because...... they allowed the tickets to be sold through their website.

It does not appear that Live Nation had anything to do with managing the concert- or the far more subdued concert featuring the Trans Siberian National Orchestra that they also sell tickets for.

But.... it does appear that they have assets or possibly insurance.

The first thing a Personal Injury Attorney learns is: Dont sue anybody who does not have cash.
The second (as illustrated by another forum member is: Sue to settle, not because you have a valid case.

One thing Personal Injury Attorneys never explain- well at least not on their websites, is that there can be a big difference between jury verdicts and actually collecting anything.

Trial Courts and even on a certain number of occasions, Appellate Courts may uphold awards. But..... they do not assist in debt collection. Assets must be found by the plaintiff and then if found, be capable of being seized.

My guess is that TS could be further liquifying his probably already pretty liquid assets- then moving them to uhmm..... "remote locations".

Mixed messages. I think TS is just trying to throw stuff out there so he can appear like he is spending every minute on this. He may feel anything is better than nothing but that’s just my guess.

Hadnt thought about that angle “prefer that they communicate without the attorneys”

Some people may buy into not getting an attorney if it produces a quick payout. Who knows what’s going down. I’m sure he is in severe damage control mode. He most likely wants to get out of Houston ASAP.

McDonald’s??? What happened to happy meals with wholesome cartoon figures?? It’s like mind control for kids this young. His language alone is unfit for a 9 year old.

Spanning from McDonalds to Christian Dior. That’s a vast imprint for a fan base. He has certainly marketed it and capitalized on it.
