Would you be able to tell semi from fully? I haven’t heard the gunfire yet.

I’m figuring he may have been a bit overwrought but maybe not. It’s hard to replicate military training at the gun range. But perhaps he was associated with a paramilitary group. I’m interested in that.

Yes, you can’t mistake the two.

Oh his background will be very interesting.

Also just because a person chooses to be evil and do evil things doesn't mean they're insane. Or even mentally unstable. Much of the time it's simply a choice.
RSABBM:

^^^^^THIS RIGHT HERE^^^^^

Mental illness is real.

Evil is also real.

It's important not to conflate and/or confuse the two.

They are not synonymous with one another.

The victims injured are being reported as ranging in age from 2-82 by Fox News. What an evil monster.

Governor Abbott speaking at PC:
  • States 20 innocent victims have lost their lives today.
  • Thanks LE for their actions and swift response today.
  • Wants El Paso to know that the State of Texas brings it full support to the community to help them rebuild.
  • Asks Americans to keep El Pasoans in their prayers.
  • Hug your family members, let them know how much you love them.
  • We must unite, every man and woman of every race, now is the time for Texans to come together, to support each other, to help these families in need, and to help El Paso take the steps forward that it's going to need to take.

I was shocked that they put that out there. My guess is they're going to get some feedback on that, negative feedback.

Made me tear up. Awful.

Also from the presser:

LE rep stated there was a 6-minute response time from when the 911 call came in to when first officers arrived on scene.

State of Texas will be the lead investigative agency.

Capital murder charges are being considered.

LE rep confirmed that they have a manifesto they believe written by the person they've arrested that points to this being a hate crime.

I work at Walmart too on the weekends only (busiest times!) as a demo/sample lady. I have thought out my escape route many times if someone comes in shooting...first thing is I would run to the back area where the loading docks are and out the doors then run right towards the Sams club next to us, not to the left which would take me out to the parking lot and make me a sitting duck. Of course, that's if I had time.....

Yup, and that manifesto will open the door to federal charges.

Not that it would really matter.

This is Texas after all.
