I wonder...what stage of decomposition was the body in? How long has the little girl been dead? I know that it was said that they couldn't determine gender? IDK though, I feel like when reports first come out in cases, they can be inaccurate...

Wouldn't neighbors tell LE if they hadn't seen the girl in a while? Or maybe they have, but we haven't heard about it. What was the little girl doing during the day? Did one parent stay home? Did she go to camp, a friend or neighbor or relative's house? A babysitter? There has to be a lot of people who could account for the little girl in the days before her murder.

For those interested I know this local channel www.myfoxdfw.com carries it's noon broadcast live on their website. The other local channels may as well, but I don't know for certain.

So this truck was certainly out of place in the neighborhood for it to stick in people's minds. I would like to know if it was stopped in that particular area or if like a few posters have said perhaps she fell out.

This would tell me alot, because to place a child in a neighbor hood likes this, where you know she will be found almost immediately speaks volumes, especially at this time of night. There is a huge risk of being caught ....

This poor little darling :rose: may you rest in peace and the monster who did this to you be caught swiftly....

http://www.wfaa.com/news/crime/Body-found-in-tarp-in-Saginaw-neighborhood-213940401.html

'''Smith, 18, said his 14-year-old cousin discovered the body of a girl who appeared to be four or five when he attempted to move the tarp to the trash.
"I dropped to my knees crying because I knew it was a little girl," Smith said.''''

A ) No mention of decomp in this story
B ) an emotional teenager could easily (imho) have thought decomp when there was not actual decomp. I don't know that he is old enough and mature enough to tell the difference. Heck I don't know if I am.

Poor guy is probably having nightmares.

ETA I think we may find those initial reports of decomp to be false and just confusion in the moment. I hope or I don't know what I hope. I hope they find the ****** and leave him on my front porch !

SNIPPED............................

Police would not confirm specific details, but neighbors reported seeing a red truck in the area which investigators are interested in locating, said Saginaw Police Officer Damon Ing. The truck has a green paint splatter near its right rear tire well, he said.

http://www.khou.com/news/texas-news?fId=213940401&fPath=/news/local/&fDomain=10247

This is a really good description of the truck even though there is no make or model. I wonder if the green splatter paint is a coustom job or just some paint picked up from a tire and splattered........

This is horrible, I don't know whta the hell has gotten into man kind .....

I read it described as "like a paintball splatter" which does happen on paintball fields. I've refereed many paintball games and know vehicles can be hit and splattered. I hope investigators are looking into where paintball games might be played. BTW: Paintball splatters can be washed off but might leave a transparent image in the paint if left over an extended period.

I also think the reports of decomposition might be false. It really wouldn't make any sense. It would mean either the child was abducted at least a week ago, and the parents just reported her missing now. Or the parents killed the child at least a week ago, kept the body somewhere else, and then moved the body to the road, and then reported her missing. Not to mention, there has to be people who could account for seeing the girl in the days before her murder.

Now, I am going to assume that the little girl was murdered on Monday until I hear otherwise. Okay, so if the parents did it, it has to be the oddest staging ever. But was that the point? Did they think that dumping the body in a public place would more likely point to a sadistic sexual predator? On the other hand, it wouldn't shock me if the little girl was abducted by a predator and was killed very soon afterwards.

BTW, this is 30 minutes from where Amber Hagerman went missing and was found murdered. The abductor was driving a pickup truck in that case too.

Were the two teens who found her male? TIA. I will listen to the interviews ASAP.

LE in an article from the Daily Mail stated they think she fell out. I hate going where I'm going to go, so.....I'm thinking the person driving the truck had an "oh crap" moment when they got to a dump site and realized they better play dumb and report her missing asap.

IMO and basing this on what little I know. I hope I am wrong.

How does a body fall out of a car? Was she just in the backseat and the door wasn't closed all the way, and it flew open and she fell out?

:( Well I hate hearing that but it makes more sense that way, doesn't it?
I assume we would already know if that truck was from the neighborhood. All of the nearest neighbors would say " oh yea, john does' truck has that green spot' . Its' a very identifying mark.

LE is looking for a truck. Things fall out of trucks all the time.

The back of a truck....

If she was killed on Monday, whoever did this is either extremely brazen or stupid or maybe both. Evidence would be readily available...on the girl, on the bag, on the underwear, on the tarp, etc. Why not dump her body in a place where it would take a long time (if ever) to find her?

http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2013/07/01/baby-found-on-saginaw-roadside/

Police initially said that no kids had been reported missing in the area, but that later changed. Parents reported a child missing after the body had been found.

Hmmmmmmm?

According to this article at CNN, the body was decomposing:

http://www.cnn.com/2013/07/02/justice/texas-child-body-found/index.html?hpt=hp_t3

If that is true, it sure would appear she wasn't missing for just an hour or two. I'm really not trying to blame the parents. I'm just so sad for this little girl. What the heck happened??

The back of a truck....

So they riding around with a dead body in the back of a pickup truck? Even it was covered by a tarp, all it takes is some wind or a turn to take the tarp off the body, and everyone driving around you sees it. I would think that when you transport a body, you put it in one of the trunks that the cars (not SUVS) have.

If she was in the back of a truck and there was no tailgate, she could have slid out while making a corner, Im sorry I dont even want to say that :(

This makes sense for why she was in an intersection and it also leads me to believe this red truck has no tailgate , right? It would have to be very bumpy terrain otherwise and it's clearly not, so I'm imagining the truck flew around the corner at a stop sign.

This is why I think she fell out. It makes no sense to have dumped her there.
