Wow, yes the locals/neighbors did a great thing by working with investigators and keeping what they knew to themselves!

If I had seen a similar tarp in my creepy neighbors yard that was no longer in creepy neighbors yard...omg...I would freak out!
I can't imagine what I would do.

Can't help but wonder how many guns and surveillance cameras have been bought in the last three weeks.

They may give her info, especially in a high profile case like this. I work in a hospital and it puts us in an awkward situation when we can't talk to the family because the patient is in law enforcement custody. Hopefully law enforcement will give info and let her see him, especially if he is critical.
Jumping off your post..not directed at you.

Why should he have the ability to see someone who could comfort him while he is in pain? Alanna didn't get that chance and neither did her family. A long time ago, I stopped caring about the monsters who do these things to children. If he is critical and death is upon him, I hope he dies ALONE.

LE will eventually give him Mom an update on his condition. They have been nothing but professional through this entire case, I wouldn't expect that to change anytime soon. JMO

Do we know for a fact that the neighbors were all in on this arrest/suspect and were all keeping quiet? Or is this an assumption? Just trying to clarify.

I can't imagine him being aware at all at this point but if he is, maybe he refused visitation because he's ashamed.

Respectfully, I doubt he is ashamed.
After all he has a photo of himself with a garden hose stuck .....you know.
:blushing:

Actually just trying to lighten things a bit :truce: tonight....now that we have much of the news.

A non verified insider came by earlier and strongly implied some locals knew or suspected what was up. Not sure if that's what people are referring to, though.

In a college psych. class, (many years ago) remember that denial was a DEFENSE mechanism to protect the ego...theories probably have changed since then :)

JMO, we saw it daily with the Anthonys

I've experienced it.

In retrospect I can't believe my mind didn't even consider, not even for a second. I didn't remain in denial... But I was certainly jolted out of it!!!

There was certainly lots of suspicion surrounding him.

If they have video of his driveway, wouldn't they have a video of any car that showed up?

Just bouncing off your post! :seeya:

I wonder, since it seems the tarp used came from his backyard, if he hauled her out the back and had someone pick him up on the street that runs behind his house?

We had a swat happening about gosh 11 years ago. It was in our old neighborhood, a cul de sac. There were undercover cops raking yards, one sitting in a spare bedroom across the street from the perps. (meth manufacturing)

I wonder if the night that the fire started, there was LE sitting in a neighbor's room watching the home? Told the neighbor to go knock on the door so not to blow their cover until they got DNA results back. They suspected him already. Maybe it was an undercover who awoke the Gallaghers and it was kept hush. I won't be surprised.

I don't think it's so much about him as it is about her. At this point in time we have no reason to believe they have any reason to punish HER. There are more people involved than just him. It's hard to feel sympathy for him, of course, impossible, really. But some empathy for his mother seems like a decent feeling to spare for her until there is reason otherwise.

Sort of like I've been screaming about Alanna's family since it started.

You can thank the lovely HIPPA privacy laws for that. Hospitals can get in big trouble for releasing protected health information without the patient's consent.

Yeah, that made it all the worse...I use to work as an RN in the ER.

We now have it right on his chart...that way if he's unconscious or can't speak for himself they can tell me what's going on.

sigh...

I think the visit would be for mom's sake, not for Tyler. He hasn't had his day in court so he isn't convicted yet.

So according to the arrest warrant affadavit, last seen time is 2:00 ish. Tyler had some time to get help before he had to get rid of Alanna. sigh. Cell phone record warrant might show something there that will help, I hope. JMO

I suggest a compromise ... Give his mom access and turn down the pain killing drip... Way down!

Why would LE say this was an isolated event? I don't understand this.

Glad her killer has been caught. What a sick, sick person he is.

Because it was an isolated event from LE's perspective. I don't think they use the same definition we do. One murder, one murderer, possibly with an accomplice. He's not a serial killer, he's not connected to a gang, he's not part of organized crime making a hit. While he might eventually have killed again if not caught, it wasn't likely to be soon.

Or seized PCs.

Am I the only one who wonders if Alanna might have observed him or caught him doing something inappropriate and it infuriated him?

I go back and forth between the above and deliberate premeditation...

I believe the same. Even if my boy had done something as horrible as this, if he was about to pass away I would want to see him one last time.

He sodomized & murdered a 6 yr old little girl and threw her away like trash.

If he's the arsonist... He could have killed Alanna's parents.

He shot an officer, that officer is lucky he didn't bleed out and die.

IMO you can't get more murderous than him!
