He gives me the same vibe I got from AS in Jessica's case.

I definitely get 'insolent and maybe dumb-ish teen' from him, if that's not too unkind. (It probably is.)

It's not because of his dreads or t-shirt, though (I'm usually the one saying "blah blah not everyone who listens to metal is a murderer", etc), just body language. It's almost like he went out there with no intention other than seeing or being seen by the reporters/cameras.

Sigh. Well that's a no-brainer. What about the DOGS? JMO

But if there's just a couple of cameras with ongoing video of the nearby blocks from that time period, they may be able to narrow down EVERY car that could have traversed that intersection in the time frame of her death.

I haven't been keeping up much, admittedly... But IF that's the case (and I'm starting to lean that way), WHY would LE inform the public that there's nothing to worry about? What am I missing?

I'm presuming that if they think someone in that house had something to do with the death of Alanna, they are keeping a VERY close eye on them and there would be no opportunity for that person to go undetected and commit another crime. JMO.

Well, one scenario is that her death was an accident, staged to look like predator (yes, I think this is too complex an explanation, personally) and they already know her COD.

That tweet just posted is calling her death a murder.

Yes, ITA. I mean that looking for video is expected in this type of investigation and that I hope this process started well before the twitter post that reported it. I just haven't heard anything about dogs being involved and yet there were hundreds of FBI working on this case within hours. JMO

Hey everyone from over in the UK - apologies for my everlurking! - very amateur websleuth here! So I have a name for someone at 649,but that's against T&Cs yes? But the name I have places him at around 30 years old...

Who was the little girl who was murdered two or so years ago, out riding her bike and taken into a neighbors' home? Somewhere in the Midwest, I believe.

I just dont understand how LE can say the neighborhood is not in danger if there is a child murderer loose!

I have the names too but the guy in the video is the son and he is described as a teenager, he isn't 30. Google is helpful with this too (i.e. facebook, etc). We can't post names until the names are in the news somewhere. xo

I'm about 99% that would break a rule but don't hold me to it. If I were you I wouldn't do it.......that's just my opinion.

Still a very good question.

Either the suspected murderer was someone from inside her own home; or the suspected murderer has been arrested on other charges and is held for now; or the suspected murderer has been committed for mental health reasons; or the suspected murderer has committed suicide.

If they are saying this and it's merely because they have the suspected murderer under close surveillance, let's say - then they are foolish in having said it.

Anyways, that's all I can think of.

No this was a younger girl...Brianna? Two years ago, I think, and yes the neighbor was arrested and confessed. A "normal" father with kids of his own.

How can anyone who would kill a child and leave her in this manner not be a child predator? Why would LE say such a (IMO) stupid thing, i.e. no child predator here, look away..."

I do not know (I joined to follow this case) but I live very near where this occurred and you can be sure I am not letting my children (age 4) out of my sight. I'd been thinking it was time to let them start playing in the backyard without my constant presence but no more. :|
