(Saginaw scanner feed is quiet as always.)

On searching twitter, there's been helicopter reports since this happened. Not sure what I can link, but search saginaw and helicopter. There was a tweet six days ago, two yesterday, and one today.

Can't find anything else on street being closed or police activity.

If she hadn't said the street was blocked off, I wouldn't have thought too much about the news helicopter.

Now I am wondering though if it is just for a news story because they have not broken into programming.

Dad blame it.

I hope you guys don't think I am full of it. I assure you the source is reliable. Whether it is just the news doing a story to keep it fresh in the public's mind or something is really up, I have no idea.

You could be right, but the family seems to have numerous friends, been involved in church, neighborhood, and family activities, the kids went to public school, etc. They weren't living in a secluded commune. The worst thing I've read is that the child cried when she had to go home. I've got to take that with a grain of salt because my son cried every day when I showed up to get him from school. Every. Single. Day. And I can assure you that my son has never been miserable at home--he just loved school!

There's also the possibility that the child was thought to be at a friend's. Possibly, the parents called the friend's or went over there to get her, discovered she wasn't there, and began their search at that time. We just do not know. Nothing has indicated that this is the scenario that played out that night, but there's nothing to contradict the possibility either.

Agreed. The only people that have mentioned she cried when she had to go home are neighbours, who knew she was dead. In that scenario you look for reason, it's natural. It does not mean it is relevant. *edited cos I probs shouldn't have posted this bit*

For all we know KG could have come home from work at 8pm, (rumour I think? I'm sure I read it in MSM but not sure if it was confirmed) Possibly heard about the body find on the car radio, possibly seen the police presence and upon finding Alanna not home and unaccounted for gone into denial, not wanting, or not allowing himself to think the worst. Or he could have gotten home unaware and Mom and or/MM is the one who has heard the news and they decide to go on their own search before residing to the fact she couldn't be found and flagging down the police car and reporting her missing. Or they simply may have been unaware of the find and maybe they thought she was at a friends house, became preoccupied, not realising the time. Especially if she made a habit of staying longer at friends than she was supposed to. I don't think anyone can say for sure how they would act in these circumstances and It's possible their situ may have added confusion or disagreement to what they chose to do. JMHO

The street blocked off by Alanna's seems like something would be happening. Streets are not blocked for no reason, I feel

I certainly don't! I was just trying to see if we could find any other details. There's definitely a helicopter, and the blocked off street does make one think something is going on there.

Hard to say as the mother seems very open about it.

To me, if you believe in something, do it. If you are ashamed, then maybe you should look at what you are doing. Does not seem like they were hiding it as the aunt knew about it and said it worked for them.

I don't know any reasons LE would ask questions about their lifestyle if searching for a missing child, I would think LE would want to know what she was wearing, a picture, where she liked to go, where she would normally go, that kind of thing.

I Disagree. Your life becomes on open book for LE when your child ends up dead on the side of the road with no other suspects. I would cooperate on every level possible if I were them. LE has to know every angle in order to gain the intel necessary to find this monster who did this to a child even if that means getting the nitty gritty on the parents sex life and their lifestyles to the tinyest details.

Is it weird the police cars have their emergency lights on?

Good grief. Is that really the best photo they could get of what's going on?

Looking at the picture with the cop cars with lights on parked where they are, I wonder if my friend assumed it was blocked off. I wouldn't turn down there unless I lived there. LOL

And why are their lights on?
