Right, but then they usually resort to male condoms. At least in my circle of friends.
Right.
That is unless it's two females.

I find all the toilet paper and wal-mart bags very curious. I understand the bags, but the toilet paper must be key to something.
In my opinion, the canvassing has been timed to channel attention on their search for an unknown perp and away from the search warrant info. Police knew that media had obtained the list of items seized from the home. Police don't want people pointing fingers at the family. If there are choppers in the air, they may be looking for drivers who go out of their way to avoid the checkpoints. Especially vehicles that fit a certain description.
Think dental dam. Like at the Dentist. It goes "over" not in.
So someone snatched a child then went back to steal items from her parents car? A little too bold I think.
Longtimers--is it typical in a case like this for LE to do such a detailed search of the victim's family home straight away?
Isn't that like a diaphragm (do they even make those anymore?)? I can't imagine it would fit into a child would it?
LOL! It is like a male condom, but bigger and looser. It has a small ring on one end, that attaches around the cervix, and a big ring on the other end, that keeps it outside the vagina. Some also have some extra plastic sheeting to cover the external female parts so that the female is safe from coming into contact with all male fluids. But they aren't comfortable, and are messy, so most people don't use them. I tried to say that as non-graphically as possible.
I had a thought too horrible to post..............![]()
Is anyone else really, really disturbed by the "female condom" -?? I don't know anyone who actually uses those things. But I could see a perp using one to keep his DNA off of a young girl. And now I am going to throw up.
Right.

Sometimes when children disappear or are found murdered the police aren't forced to get a search warrant to search the home. The parents immediately agree to let the police come and and take what is needed to find their child.

They might only be news helicopters looking for tonight's leading story.BBM
Now that is a brilliant observation! :high5: :thumb:
It should not be acceptable to the child's parents!!! My daughter is 5, and there is not one SINGLE REASON she needs to be out roaming our neighborhood. My impression of the OP's statement was that the parents of this child shouldn't have just let their young kid wander freely. Sure the child wanted to, but that does not mean she should have been allowed to. My job as a mother is to set the boundaries for my daughter. She wants a LOT of things that aren't good for her. She is pretty certain she doesn't think Kindergarten is the best idea for her. Should I just shrug my shoulders and be like, "well, she'll do what she wants!" and let her make her own choices? NO! This is not Alanna's parents' fault that this happened, and I don't blame them for the decision of a horrible person. I just wish they had kept a tighter rein on her, and maybe this wouldn't have happened.![]()
Sure, maybe playing outside with other kids in and of it self isn't dangerous. But it is NOT SAFE or WISE to let very young little kids wander around alone on a regular basis. It just isn't. And not just because they can be kidnapped either! Hit by a car? Bit by a dog? Find a nasty dirty needle (that actually happened while I was playing with a kid outside while a nanny in a super nice neighborhood)? Lots of things can happen that little kids aren't equipped to handle!
Maybe kidnapping is rare, things like this seldom happen, blah blah blah, but when they do, the alone kids are the ones that make the easiest targets... There are freaks in the world who want nothing more than to find a kid playing alone out by the street.
It just seems that the kids who have a known, longstanding history of wandering aimlessly alone on a regular basis, unsupervised, and with nobody checking up on them...are the ones that end up with their very own thread on WebSleuths.
Rest in Peace Alanna. I'm so sorry this happened to you. You deserved so much better.
