There are numerous causes that could be added to this list.....electrical shock, extreme heat exposure (or cold), head trauma from a fall or blow, run over by a vehicle, crush injuries from something falling onto her, poisoning, drug ingestion, cuts that were not technically "stab" wounds etc.

NOT shot, stabbed or strangled really leaves endless possibilities still open.

I feel like we can probably (IMO) rule out stab wounds, because I feel like in the 911 call or subsequent interviews, one of the kids or parents would have mentioned seeing blood?

Hmmm. Check the scanner thread in the basement about that last seen time.

Yes, we were going back and forth with those two last seen times early on. But if Alanna was allowed to go out to a friend's BEFORE 4 pm, than where is the 4 pm time coming from? (see scanner) Who saw her after she went out? There seems to be another time discrepancy here unless we don't know with certainty that she was seen by a witness around 4 pm.

The time thing IMO has not been verified. It's not lining up for me.

Yes, they bathed daily.
Thank you for sharing that they bathed daily. Chlorine and other pool chemicals from the church camp's pool would have been washed away days earlier in the bathtub. If pool chemicals are found in Alanna's orifices and/or lungs and they match or are very similar to the chemical composition in the Gallagher's hot tub, that will have meaning to LE.

perhaps, but since the crime scene is unknown, and there is an implication that water and bleach were involved.....no blood would necessarily still be on her....don't want to be more graphic than that

So how do neighbors notice a red truck with a green splotch on the rear wheel well but don't really notice the tarped package on the road? It's funny how things like that happen. JMO

There was a specific incident involving the truck that caused someone to notice it. I can't find the news report for it, though.

"I can assure the community of Saginaw and all surrounding areas that you're perfectly safe in this community," said Ofc. Damon Ing, Saginaw police spokesman. "At times, unfortunately, we're struck with circumstances such as this, but I believe that this is going to be an isolated case."

Are you referring to the incident a couple of weeks before where a man in a red truck tried to lure two little girls?

Yes, that one. As I recall there was nothing other than that to tie it to Alanna's case, though.

Seriously not trying to be an A**, but can you find an MSM link for this?

I also recall a vaguely similar quote (looking for it myself right now, BTW), that was more to the effect that "things like this happens sometimes".....in all communities(?). Not that I'm Ing's biggest fan when it comes to his PR statements, but I just didn't take it that it there are, more or less, random unsolved deaths of children.....

That said, I can vouge for his statements (not that they are believed): "isolated case", and immediate and surrounding communities are "perfectly safe".
This is in a video. It is in the first press conference where the young police officer speaks (young to me is below 40...lol). I'll see if I can find that video on here. Then I'll check youtube.

Edit-look up 3 posts. I think it is there.

I'm going to keep it simple and guess smothering since there was a report of a bag over her head.

Which report said "bag over her head"?

Just thought I'd link the SW again for reference.

See how this looks. It still needs a little tweaking.

MAP

Well that's certainly disconcerting! Haven't a few of them already been "solved" though?

Eyewitness testimony linked in most MSN articles and video interviews, iirc its also mentioned in the 911 call. It's corroborated by what they were searching for on the search warrant.
