I wasn't aware of the case of Jerry Waller so thank you to the member who shared it. What is sad is, that case was in 2014. We are almost into 2020 and yet this case with Tay has just occurred. What is going on in Forth Worth PD? These cases would seem to illustrate there is a serious problem with training and or officer candidate selection. People will say that officers are only humans and that is true, but they are and should be held to a higher standard. The minute they are set out on the streets they become humans with the legal right to carry and use guns in the course of their duties. If they can't tell the bad guys from the good guys, especially when they are on someone's private property then what are they doing in that job?
