She’s grumpy!!!

Exactly.

The sad, brutal truth is that poor Athena had no control over his impulses.

"What I was asked to put in my report"
Whoopsies again.
IMO.

There you have it….defense never asked her to include the offense in her report

redirect.

Dr. Ryan were you asked to give an opinion on the offense itself? No, it was a mitigation evaluation.

in that sort of evaluation do you focus more on the facts of the offense or the person who committed them. It depends on what I was asked to focus on. (she isn't lying. I am sure she was asked to focus primarily on the perpetrator and not his crimes, that is patently obvious.)

her job is to take his behaviors and fit that into what she has already determined or is in process of determining about perpetrator.

So @Megnut called it. This witness admits she was given a diagnosis or several in this case and she went about fitting his behaviors into those boxes.

I hope the State saved the best for re-cross:

Just one more question, Doctor. Why did TH abduct Athena if she didn't see him snorting any cocaine until she was already in the truck?

Enjoy that blood money, Doc.

The crime itself wasn’t worthy of being in her report?
Lady, give it up!

LMAO

witness: It's very clear why I came to the diagnoses that I came to.

On that I think we can ALL agree.

The coke-heads that I have known over my years, all have a tell-tale sign of SNIFFING post snorting. Was there any audible sniffing heard on the video? Did we see him nose-swipe on the camera, before he covered it up? No, we didn't. Dude was broke, he didn't have any coke, and this line of BS is incredulous. IMO
Exactly. From past, personal experience, he didn't seem to be coked up to me. No teeth grinding, etc...
And didn't they say he slept peacefully that night?
Not happening if you're doing lines all day.
IMO.

I do believe he was using cocaine that day. I thought it even before I heard he claimed he was. Based on all his sniffing and his fiending for cigarette after cigarette, and how he was smoking them. It's behavior I am familiar with.

Regardless of if he was using cocaine or not, that has nothing to do with what he ultimately did.

He didn't plan to abduct Athena because ... he did it stupidly?

What?

Wait, people with Autism lie frequently?
I've worked with many people on the spectrum and they were overall honest, even to their own detriment.
Hmmm.
IMO.

The part where he takes a break to do a line before getting back to the assault/murder.
It just doesn't ring true to me.
Regardless, cocaine didn't cause this either.
Evil did.
IMO.
Gotcha. Agree completely - evil caused this. Not some mythical version of evil. Evil personified and actively perpetrated by TH.

And while I'm rambling, I will admit I probably don't fully understand the point of mitigation in this case. TH pled guilty because he IS guilty. I wish they'd just get on with sentencing.

I hope there is professional consequence for this testimony.

You're right about that.

For sure, cocaine wasn"t why he abducted her. Based on his own narrative, the cocaine came after.

Cocaine he said he found. We've seen his shed.

Nobody's finding anything in that shed.

oh goody, another blurry witness.

And the good doctor is leaving the stand.
Who is next?
Blurry witness - female who has known him five or six years.
IMO.

New blurry witness.

Someone who is going to tell us about TH's dating type.

Seriously?
