Waiting for the trial to resume this morning. Why are the phone calls and visits in jail evidence? They are soooo tedious! Is it to stress how little remorse he felt?

And am I correct that defense seems to be saying that an absence of injury to her genitalia is somehow a point in the defendant’s favor? I mean, he removed her clothing, poor little girl. That alone had to be so terrifying, and imo definitely counts as SA.

yeah, I must have missed how that concluded while on the phone with a client. seemed very abrupt.

defendant's browsing history is being discussed. he searched missing girl and had a number of photos of her taken from media saved to his device is what it sounds like to me. He searched whether fedex truck cameras constantly record at 2:20 pm on Dec. 2nd so in his time zone is was 8:20 pm

dec. 1st he searched paradise missing girl several times, refreshing that search term 5 time on the 1st he also read Facebook posts about the search and the crime scene.

defense is suggesting that Athena related photos and information may have gotten in his cache because that was all over Facebook in the days after Athena was abducted and murdered by their client

next witness is Kevin Huffman. He is constable for Wise County precinct 4. He lives in Paradise on county road 3573

he describes where Athena's home was as compared to his own home, they live along the same stretch of road. that location is rural. Paradise is 10 or 11 miles from their residences as the crow flies. The road is lightly travelled, there are approximately 20 homes on the entire length of the road.

He helped with searching and checked his own property carefully. Tanner had delivered a package to his own home the day before. His two daughters at the time were 7 and 10. The whole family was present when Tanner arrived at their property to deliver that package. His daughters were playing outdoors when tanner arrived. The girls came in to tell him about a package being delivered. He and Tanner engaged in light chit chat as Tanner dropped off their package.

photo being discussed right now is of his own home, and his youngest daughter at the back of a fedex van and himself exiting his front door. (Jesus wept this family is lucky beyond measure, this could have been the trial of the murderer of his daughter! IMO)

Y'all getting the picture here? TH must indeed been having "libido problems" (performance issues? supply issues?). Beginning to look like he was stalking little girls on his delivery route -- to destroy with his sexual frustration?????

The fury of a full grown man abducting, attacking, abusing, assaulting a little girl -- fully premeditated --

The cars indicate someone is at the home when he pulled up right? Yes.

Tanner is still seatbelted in the truck and asks the girls to speak to an adult. He doesn't get out of the van until he gets an indication it is okay to get out of the van. Who is the individual wearing white in the background? Hufman can not tell from this angle. The video continues to play and Huffman says it is his wife. (defense trying to illustrate that Tanner did nothing untoward with this delivery and to me it doesn't really appear he did at this point)

He was extra courteous, said he wanted an adult to get the packages because he didn't want to ruin Christmas by spoiling a surprise.

I think I misunderstood the screenshots earlier -- they were stills of this video (and not from TH's phone).

I believe this is one day before he abused poor Athena to death.

I don't like him being around anyone's little girls.
