IMO when a crime turns into a racial divide, it is an inversion of what Martin Luther King Jr. famously said—-people should be judged, not by the color of their skin, but by the continent of their character.
That cuts both ways.
Skin color is immaterial to this crime. The guilty party did this in public. There is no doubt who killed whom.
It is beyond comprehensible to me that the murderer should receive support. I feel the same about Luigi, and he didn’t even commit his murder in daylight in front of an audience.
In O.J.’s time, I think being a beloved public figure played into his trial, along with race.
I would hope we as a society would have evolved enough by now to judge the act, committed publicly, and have race be a non-issue.
Of course that is not what’s happening. Has Al Sharpton inserted himself into this case yet?
A young man slaughtered another young man in public. I cannot fathom that so many are defending him, that he’s getting such easy treatment and funds being sent for his defense.
His skin color doesn’t matter to me any more than someone’s hair color or eye color.
IMO
