As to the pastor's description of AM's father as being disrespectful to his dead son, I can't respond to that while remaining in TOS. So distasteful.

The Anthony family have done nothing BUT speak since the murder. For being a Christian family they seem to have forgotten the commandment 'thou shalt not lie'.

I missed the press conference. I'm afraid they probably did a lot of victim blaming, did they? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the murder was witnessed by multiple people, right? So seems like that would rule out the family "embellishing" the details of what happened and making the victim out to be the aggressor or claiming that the suspect feared for his life. So why do I feel like that's what they're doing anyway?

I thought it was. This is sickening and disgraceful. Where was the respect for Metcalf’s family? Austin's Father is grieving and he wants to stand up for his son who can’t do it for himself. Of course he showed up! Heartbreaking

I totally agree. And unless this was closed to the public or unless Mr Metcalf was being loud or obnoxious or whatever (he wasn't), I really think it wouldn't have been legal for them to make him leave.

I wouldn't have been surprised if their whole family, cousins and everybody, had shown up. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Appears this presser was only to address the rumors about the parents using the fundraising money for housing and car etc. (the Daily Mail articles the other day)

Feels like this presser has nothing to do with a teen (KA) who is charged with murdering another (AM). it's the rehab of the parents reputation and complain about misinformation (oh the irony) being spread about them IMO that is the most important function of this exercise.

The side note was, not even is it not KA's fault this killing happened, it is the fault of the Frisco ISD (school district). Somehow they have failed in their duty to prevent this couple's son from bringing a knife to a track meet and stabbing someone. And no track meet ever happens in a light rain so they should have cancelled it thereby preventing KA from killing AM.

I don't believe that guy is a pastor, he calls himself a "Minister of Justice".

Yeah ~ the irony of them not wanting Austin's father to attend the presser because he wasn't invited... just as it was completely wrong for KA to be under the other school's sports team tent, uninvited. imo

talk about some contradictory messaging. The PR team needs to work a bit harder tightening up their messaging because right now it's all over the place. One mouth says Metcalf's father is bad and disrespectful to the point of being inappropriate. While another says my heart goes out to you for the loss you "experienced"

When’s the next court date?

The DA indicated the grand jury will likely meet by the end of June so I don't see anything happening in Court until he's indicted. Unless he violates his pretrial release, bond conditions. JMO
