Not a bad match - in the missing woman's "made up" picture she resembles the Doe. Did you see the other picture posted of her, with her hair pulled back? The missing woman looks like she weighs more than is listed, but she's been gone a while, so weight loss is possible.

Ran across this thread on WS. Height good, weight good, hair good, age good. Has the widows peak. From Newport News VA. isn't that a military town. What do you think? Also wondering if she had facial damage from the gunshot wound?

VA - Kathleen Haley, 37, Newport News, 1 Sept 2012

I think the resemblence is very strong. However, researching Ms. Haley, I found this so circumstances may not support the match.

I think Jane looks like Wendy Beadles Francis: http://www.sovanow.com/index.php?/news/article/fear_of_foul_play_grows_in_disappearance/

Its really hard to tell from the photos I was able to find of her, whether or not she has matching freckles as she appears to wear a lot of foundation.

However, generally her facial structure looks spot on.

Wendy went missing in Aug. 2012 when she went to NC to work for the summer. Circumstances may suggest transient lifestyle and potential depression.

I can't find anything for her on any of the main missing person websites. Although looks like local LE is investigating potential foul play, Wendy should be entered into NAMUS at a minimum.

I really thought this lady would be IDed fairly soon after the info about her tattoos was released.

My guess is that her family doesn't know she has them. :(

"Fideli Certa Merces" is also the motto/on the coat of arms for the Parker family:

http://parkers-history.limewebs.com/Parker_crest.html

and it "Also appears as the Crest/Coat of Arms Motto for the Parker, Shapleigh, and Bottomley families"- http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/fideli_certa_merces

Of course, it's also what's listed on HONORABLE DISCHARGE certificates for the Marine Corps (see above wikitionary link) & combined with the "Semper Fi" tattoo on the other arm, I'm more inclined to think the tattoo has more to do with the USMC than this lady possibly being a Parker, Sharpleigh, or Bottomley.

Perhaps she was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps?

And Semper Fidelis is the motto/crest/coat of arms for the Lynch Family.

Just an fyi....

The eye in the uncolored "Fideli Certa Merces" tattoo reminds me of the flaming eye from Tool's "Lateralus" album.

I think the tattoo design is just a mash up of many different things that were symbolic to her, not gang or biker related.

Ah! THAT's what it reminded me of!

Yeah, I think you're right about personal symbolism.

It's been over two months. Was this young woman so alone that no family member, friend or neighbor has noticed she is missing? Who are you Miss Semper Fi?

Two thoughts: Freckles come and go. If she had recently spent a lot of time in the sun, it could be a new one or a sun spot. Secondly, I don't think it is possible she did those tattoos on her own. Someone must have helped her!

Wow, she sure looks the same -- except for the complete mismatch of tattoos.

I'm thinking the arm tattoos are new. The wings on the back of the missing are in question. Did the gunshot wound destroy them? Did the coroner not report them? HMMMMM.....

I think she looks like a really good physical match. Maybe someone should submit her?

They could be new, but they don't look *that* new. The absence of the wings on the back is a bigger problem, unless for some reason they didn't mention it. I have seen that happen more than once. Except for that, she looks like a perfect match. She's so close facially I wasn't sure which photo was her and which was our JD.

I sent the possible match to the Travis County Coroner. Do you think the Harley Davidson wings could link her to the motorcycle gathering?
