Damn the torpedoes......I bet if you would string some words together-like 'adult' and 'friend' and 'finder you just may find a website that could help you. :).

The local paper finally today announced that JS here in Lubbock has no connection with the twilight rapes and he was charged with raping the woman here. That rape happened I believe on a Fri. or Sat. and it wasn't reported in the paper for a couple of days. I don't about the news though since I never watch. Rapes may not be reported to the public right away.

DNA ties Idalou man to rape of 87-year-old
By Robin Pyle | AVALANCHE-JOURNAL

Thursday, February 04, 2010
Story last updated at 2/4/2010 - 12:06 am

His 87-year-old victim awakened to a bright light shining in her eyes and a touch on her left arm.

Then, the rapist put a blanket over her head, according to the arrest warrant for the suspect accused of attacking the woman in her Central Lubbock home on Jan. 16.

DNA from the case linked 21-year-old Joshua Paul Stephenson of Idalou to the rape - but not to the "Twilight" rape cases in South and Central Texas, Lubbock police said Wednesday. Stephenson was previously charged with stealing the woman's debit card.

I'm so glad they caught this 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 before he terrorized more than he did!

We know very little about Josh but I'm not getting the sense that he's the brightest guy--not like the serial rapist. There's always going to be sick thugs looking for money. That's our Lubbock guy. The serial rapist is a very different cat.

And yes, I watched the video--a mix of hip-hop and world beat, very sensual and sexy--but pretty classy, all things considered. I noticed no clocks, no white women. I then just listened to it and paid attention to the beat and the tic-toc sounds. That got my attention. I could see that particular song resonating with someone. I looked up the lyrics and nothing jumped out at me. The tic-toc and beat is what sets it apart.

We're grasping at straws. But remember, a single straw broke the camel's back.

I'm still trying to think of how he finds his vics - going thru various service and construction jobs, etc. in my head.

I thought about the tree cutters...I often see these crews in neighborhoods or along the highway....if a crew like this were in a neighborhood, and if a worker wanted to do so, he could make plenty of mental notes about it.

Just tossing this out there because so we can keep thinking of possibilities.

I also keep thinking of the SR in north Austin - that showed up when construction began, and seemed to have moved on when the complex was completed.

Good evening-I can only post mainly at night-don't want to get in trouble at work but I do check news sources all day at work and I may hit and run with a news article etc. Anyway....trying to dig more and get into his head. There is a website for people seeking sex and it is called ....well I don't know if I can name it-can I? I won't name it yet but here is the deal...I put in the zip code for Yoakum and the age range of 19 to 30 year old males..I had to make up a freak profile of course under an e-mail other than my usual-so it did allow me to search. There are about 30(?) guys from the Yoakum area on that site with varied sexual interests....of course they don't have a category for 'likes to rape women over 65' ...but there ARE some interesting User Names on it-like: 'Bloodlover21', crazydevil85, and one which really caught my eye 'tkdrvr21 and his headline was 'I move around a lot'.
That's my 2 cents worth for now. Believe me, if I was retired I would be on this case 24/7. Every day I am getting angrier and angrier about the victims. I want to get this freak-show off the streets and into a Texas Prison. FAST.

A truck driver (?) that moves around a lot, hm??

I wonder if he has profiles posted on several sites...it would be interesting to compare them.

I've brought this guy up before but wondered if anyone has seen any discussion concerning the comparison of DNA:

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/6682365.html

http://www.click2houston.com/news/21392303/detail.html

Pay attention to the MO, the times of day, the dates. I know the guy is described as bigger and older but there are some real similarities. Let's not put him back on the shelf just yet. He was wearing scrubs in one attack!!

The tree idea is a good one. But I'd have to wonder about the trimming of trees in the middle of summer in Central Texas. I think that's the right direction, though. I'm still stuck a bit on the surveyor with his nice truck and transit level.

What about a traveling nurse to these small towns that probably have a shortage of nurses at their hospitals at times? He must actually move to these towns if he does extensive surveillance on the victims. I've also wondered if he could have gotten into some of the ladies homes first and put a bug of some type in the clocks or the deer head. That's sounds crazy, but just wondering.

I think a bug is certainly possible but I'm not buying the visiting nurse or hospice worker, unless these women have serious dementia. If they are that disabled, I doubt they would be living alone.

Think about it, a woman would have her glasses on when a male nurse visited. She would most likely talk his ear off and get to know him a bit. She's going to relay that to LE when they question her about the rape. "Well, there was this nice young black man who came by last week from ABC Home Health Care. He really admired my old clock. But he was a nice man."

They'd be on that in a flash. Plus, I think there's nothing wrong with these ladies' other senses. I imagine they'd automatically sense if they've been in the presence of their rapist before. They'd recognize voice, smell, etc. They might not be able to exactly place where they've seen the man but I think they'd relate to LE that he seemed "somehow familiar".

I think that LE has most definitely already looked at any possible service scenarios in each of these cases. They are most likely not only talking to the women but to their families. Oftentimes, families will arrange for service people for their elders. Neighbors would have been questioned at length--tree cutting, surveying, new gutters, deliveries, etc.?

We, including LE, haven't found the missing piece of the puzzle yet. I honestly don't think that LE is holding back. They'd be issuing specific alerts if this was thought to be related to a service industry.

Typing the word "smell" made me think of something. I wonder what these women are reporting about smell? So many men of color use special black hair care products. All my black sons do. There are some I cannot tolerate due to the smell. I'm caucasian and therefore, didn't grow up with these particular scents so I notice them more. I can predict which son has just walked in by the scent of his hair cream and/or body lotion.

I would think an older white woman, who hasn't had these products in her home, would most definitely remark about them. The man is said to wear his hair short. I wonder if there's any clues there? I'm so hoping that a worried family member of this guy is going to put 2 and 2 together and start watching him more closely.

What if he is stealing the clocks and dear heads to plant bugs in to then exchange for a clock/dear head at the next house? Counting on the victim to not recognize the exchange? Could that be the true purpose behind the pre-bulgary (sp?)? The exchange of the bugged item for the new, unbugged item for the next hit? Could certainly explain how he is getting all his information and he wouldn't need to be sitting outside to do so.

Also, those are the perfect items to secret a camera in, IMHO, and about the only thing that makes any sense to me. Kudos to txsvicki for putting that part of the puzzle together.

I didn't mean a visiting nurse to the victims' homes, but maybe a traveling nurse that goes to work in the areas for awhile at a hospital. One thing that older church going ladies (if they're able to get around) is go visit their church members, friends, and relatives who are in the hospital. He might not be able to find out their info with a job like that, but could be a reason he's in the different towns and counties.

IWannaKnow--If you've looked at any security catalogs lately, you'll see that he wouldn't need to spend much time placing a bug or a camera. I don't think he'd risk walking out of a house with a 3-4 foot wide rack or cumbersome clock under his coat. I think, when we find this guy, he's going to have a complete set of the MacGyver series on his bookshelf!!

I think he'd sneak in, stick the bug or camera in the heating vent or on the light fixture or between two books and be on his way. The new surveillance stuff is creepy. Look through one of the catalogs and you'll never feel very "private" while you're in a restroom or fitting room again. Never.

Notice all the clocks?

So, we keep wondering about some guy walking out of a lady's house juggling a clock and a deer head--quite the visual. Well what if he's not walking down the front steps or sneaking around the back? What if the guy backs his car or truck into the woman's carport (very common in small town Texas) or garage? Then, he'd have full impunity to haul stuff back and forth. That could be how the one woman heard a clock ticking. She could have heard it out in the carport when he opened his trunk or it could have even been one of the Tic-Toc songs playing on a car stereo system.

If he was in a carport, he'd be semi-secluded. He'd be able to remove a window, prepare his gear, load his trophies, etc. The only thing that would blow this idea is if the woman had her own car in the carport or garage. We know at least one woman who drove to work but I wonder if all the ladies have driven. Being described as "frail" leads me to believe that maybe they didn't. Thinking of a garage or carport, though, opens up all sorts of possibilities.

Okay I have to say something here-I thought the lady that heard the clock heardit from outside her bedroom wall-not necessarily from outside the home-maybe inside the home and outside the bedroom wall.
I am still loading my compter with 🤬🤬🤬🤬 lol-signed up to another freak site-same data etc. Have found one same guy on last nights site on the new one I signed up on and his screen name is big in texaas' age 27-and he has posted a torso pic-no face-and his headline is 'Just talking bout tonight''....
gotto go answer the phone-be back soon

Where can you sell a clock and a deer head? At a flea market or garage sale or on the roadside. The timeline is everything......Not sure when/where the 10,000 got stolen in reference to the deer heads and clock. ..Gosh what a crazy statement. This is a baffling weird case.

Random thoughts here-gonna stream.....if he is hispanic-that community is tight....could he work in a restaurant-landscape...does he have family that looks the other way if he disappears......He seems like such a lone wolf -but only in the early am hours.....if he showed up at his uncles house with a deer head or a clock are they going to say anything? I feel as if someone is protecting him and they are scared to come forward. So much we don't know.....

I just spoke to my daughter-in-law and the subject of the Texas serial rapist came up. She knows how it's driving me nuts. She asked if I knew about the serial rapist in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. I didn't. She told me that in 2003, she went to visit her Grandma in Coeur d' Alene and her normally very bold grandmother was a mess. She was terrified. A rapist was on the prowl and had struck time and again. Several victims were elderly. I did some research and turned up these articles:

http://www.cdapress.com/articles/2006/10/09/news/news04.txt

http://www.cdapress.com/articles/2006/10/09/news/news05.txt

I know the victims have a greater age span (although, do we really know that this guy isn't raping younger women too), but there are several frightening similarities. I'm especially drawn to the descriptions of stalking and hunting. See what you think.

Starry Night--Most "trophies" taken during rapes are used later to remember the rapes--during masturbation. That's why sheets or underwear or clothing is so typically taken. Many rapes are not successfully completed, for whatever reason. From what I read, the rapist often gets the most arousal afterwards and while planning another one. The thought of a deer head just perplexes me.

I think of deer heads and old clocks and think of grandfathers. These were older widowed ladies, from what I can tell. Is this guy mad at Grandpa, trying to be Grandpa? I don't think we "normals" can get into heads like this. In many ways, that's a very good thing.
