This guy is really annoying. He stated that since they found pot in the apt, maybe Botham had been smoking it and that's shy he didn't comply when the killer told him to put his hands up. How would she know if he complied or not? It was dark and she couldn't even see him since she didn't bother to turn the light on. She just saw a silhouette.
I followed the link, listened for about 4 minutes and had enough. Hahaha I almost logged off and went to bed. My brain was baffled and couldn't take anymore lol.

I have a feeling he's going to get bombarded with nasty grams from listeners. Lots of them.

Please post a link to the walk through.
No, it cannot be posted. I am the one that posted that walk through video with the blood.
It was removed by Tricia tonight and it cannot be reposted per Tricia, it is not a verified websleuths source. It was from a Facebook live video so it is not a verified source even though the woman filming it was in the actual building and followed the blood trail.

His listeners probably agree.

Good thing no police came in our house yelling the other night, we had taken out our hearing aids, we would not have "compiled" with any "commands". There was also a bottle of wine on the table, so we were probably too drunk as well! Seriously. This is just outrageous.

  • #185
But the real question is ... was the wine bottle empty? because if not, please send it my way lol

Is it allowable to post the name of the person so that we can find it ourselves?

To me, it hardly matters if she DID go to his apartment in error. In a way, I can see that happening; as I’ve said, someone walked into mine one afternoon as I sat here, probably on WS...and until I had lived here a while I had to count six doors to get into a rhythm to know mine. Most apartment settings all look alike as far as the doors.

But her willingness to not only go for her gun but to shoot it so readily is alarming and terrifying. There could easily have been a child asleep on a couch, or even in the victim’s arms, for all she knew. Or perhaps she was encountering a disabled person, a deaf person etc...so many possibilities. The fact that she shot to kill, i.e not at the feet or floor (though either would have been equally bad choices in an apartment) is the issue, that and the fact that she used her weapon at all...should make this a case of willful murder or second degree murder at the least. Manslaughter is generally reserved for accidents or carelessness resulting in death, imo...not aiming and firing an unarmed person.

Jmo obviously

I'm sorry, but I do not agree that taking the stairs signifies this was a slow code. Clearly, it's evident from the video that life saving measures were being performed. The responders didn't seem to be casually strolling down the hall. Imo, if they were waiting to take the elevator I would agree that would be a slow code.

I asked our fellow poster, Alwayshopetohelp, who is a verified EMT to join us on this thread. Maybe she can give us some professional input regarding the stairs/elevator questions.

While I could believe a police cover-up, I think it's a bit far-fetched to say that the EMTs are in on it too. And if it is her, why wouldn't she and the dpd, point it out and say "She was helping him on the gurney on the way to the hospital, she tried everything to save his life", etc etc.

But instead, everyone kept quiet about it, including the media, until you just happened watch it and point it out?

It's not her. MOO.
I agree that it’s not her. She is at the very beginning of the video talking on the phone in her cop uniform. If she was inclined to give him cpr, it would have been then.

Hi Blondie & All,
I'm not verified, but I am an EMT (not up to date), plus I worked in Cardiology & Respiratory Therapy...in the hospital (and I was on Code Blue team w/ all jobs), we ALWAYS took the stairs; in a cardiac arrest, seconds count, and you don't waste time waiting for an elevator. I haven't been thru threads today, so I have not seen the video, but you NEVER take an elevator for a code. FWIW.

Wonder if the ambulance that responded was too tall to fit into the lot up to 4th floor? Possible.
I don’t know how codes work in TX, but I used to live in a townhome in NC and was on the homeowners Board. There was a turn around at the end of one of the roads that had to be widened after the places were built to accommodate emergency vehicles. We had a time keeping people from parking in it, even though we told everyone over and over that parking there would prevent emergency access.

At any rate, I suspect parking areas, especially ones giving access to homes, would have to be big enough for any and all emergency vehicles.

The thing I just can't get past is that AG could see well enough to shoot a man in the chest but not well enough to see it wasn't her place. Also, with the lights being right by the door, assuming they were in the same location in Bothams apartment as in hers, why didn't she turn them on straight away? how/why did she walk through a dark apartment to "do CPR" when she was standing shooting right there by the lights?

Thank you for this!
The video is within the last couple of pages if you get a chance to check it out. There has indeed been debate about the stairs/elevator.

If you look at the photo of the living room in Mr Jean's apartment, there is what appears to be a puddle of blood on the floor and covering idems laying in that blood at the right end of the sofa. That makes me believe that is where he bled out. If that's the case, I dont think he ever made it to the door to open it. The link contains the photo.

Full blast to the chest, I doubt he made it to the hospital. Or if CPR would have even helped.

I would like to know the caliber of the gun, the bullets, and the distance, there has been a lot of various conjectures on the distance.

The folks who marched at the stadium today, were church members, older, well dressed for church. If the protesters continue like this, they will send a powerful message. These are not folks you can shoot pepper bullets at.

Evidence released in Botham Jean slaying prompts allegations of 'smear campaign' | Crime | Dallas News

The two shell casings were found just inside the door, indicating that that's where Guyger was standing when she fired her gun, one official said.

One of the law enforcement officials said Guyger has always said she was in the doorway but Jean was not. The same official said Jean was 12 to 15 feet away from the door when first responders arrived.

That is where he stood when he was shot and where he fell,” that law enforcement official said.

I had missed the comment about where the casings were found. bbm

Apologies if already posted.

Is just very odd that the spot near the couch, which I see what you are talking about, is contained to one little area and didn't get on that rug at all. It's just very close to the rug. He's a big guy I'm assuming she would struggle flipping him over or even if he was on his back, gave any type of aid without more noticeable spots on the rug and to be fair, there could be small spots that I just can't see. But I graduated last year with my bachelors with a concentration in criminal investigations and even though I don't have the actual experience yet, It just doesn't add up to me as far as that goes.

Also, at first I thought it was laundry on his couch but it seems like it may be blankets and pillows. Could he have been sleep on the couch? Not gonna lie, me and my husband have two really nice couches and almost every weekend, we end up crashing on our his/her couches. Lol
