I see! Well, that would make sense if it was an emergency exit only. But how would they haven't gotten onto the floor in the first place? I wonder if they had the same issue entering the building as the police did? I'm surprised this isn't more msm questions/info on this.

Am thinking they could have taken the elevator up, since the stretcher collapses pretty flat and can be carried end over end. I would guess the stretcher isn’t much more than 6 ft tall.

I'm sorry, but I do not agree that taking the stairs signifies this was a slow code. Clearly, it's evident from the video that life saving measures were being performed. The responders didn't seem to be casually strolling down the hall. Imo, if they were waiting to take the elevator I would agree that would be a slow code.

I agree. And on reflection of my post I did follow up saying the stretcher may have been too long to fit into the elevator. Guessing they have little Sq. Ft. In the elevator.

I am not sure when DPD decided days later they would conduct their own investigation irrespectiveof the Rangers'. This article was published on Spet. 10, four days after and with the crime scene and tangibled evidence completely tainted and fouled.

When posters here insert "bbm", what does that mean?

bolded by me

It was reported last week that a grand jury will be convening today.

According to local elected officials in Dallas, the Rangers have no more interest in the case. Public outrage putting on pressure seems to be what motivated DPD to "step up" days later starting their own investigation and were told by the Rangers early on not to file any charges.

DPD was going to file charges quickly after and Dallas' 14th District Rep stated division existed amongst the department as to if Manslaughter or Murder. The judge purportedly refused to sign the Manslaughter arrest warrant saying that was not the crime they were describing although he would sign a murder warrant.

It is unclear exactly when DPD dropped control of the case and Rangers took it. You are much more benevolent than I about trusting either of the two entities in this case. How it has been handled is absurd and LEO does a very good job of making convoluted messes nearly impossible to untangle if they are with an agenda, which appears geared towards protecting this girl.

I think the Texas Rangers have a lot of work still to do on this case. I believe in their integrity as a group of LE officers above the DPD level.

ETA never mind question answered in above post

A proper investigation could have only taken place upon arrival commencing with the incident being professionally and rapidly assessed determining it to be a potential crime scene, and the killer actually treated like a possible murder suspect, requiring them to ignore her uniform and fraternal kinship. It does not appear anything like this happened.

A proper investigation should do a re-enactment at the scene as described by the suspect's story, and by other witnesses, to check and verify various details. That should include checking the light level and so on.

Can't really trust there is a proper investigation going on so far.

If AG has really moved out of her apartment without it having been searched, it's not just an outrage, it's a scandal.

Respectfully snipped for focus. LE knows that the eyes of the world are on this case, reflecting back on cases with similar dynamics. Anyone who is foolish enough not to run this case strictly by the books will suffer tremendous loss. Of course that loss will be nothing compared to the loss Mr. Jean and his family had exacted upon them.

Does its appearance satisfy your perception as being run strictly by the books?

DPD has gone on record stating this is not an Officer Involved Shooting. Given that, has this been handled the same as it would have IF she really wasn't a police officer?

That’s what I was thinking, Roses. In the article posted a while ago upthread, Chief Hall said that she was aware that her leadership of DPD is constantly under scrutiny. I’m hoping that this important investigation is being treated very carefully and thoroughly, and I believe it will be. There is so much at stake here. So sad that Botham lost his life in such an unnecessary way due to AG being so careless.

I’m just so surprised that the Rangers are no longer investigating this or did I misunderstand? Can they really just say “no way, this case is too hot to handle. U guys take it back.”

Here’s a link to that article on Chief Hall if anyone missed it the first time. It’s a good read.

Read Blondies post right after yours. Agree the investigation started out in a seemingly unbalanced fashion, but I am hopeful it will proceed in an honest, forthright manner. All eyes are watching.

Chief Hall dropped the ball early on and there is no starting days later and correcting it after initially being handled far departed from 'by the books'.

The Blue Wall and Code of Silence at this point makes it highly unlikely honest and forthright will ever be words to reasonably used in discussing this matter.

The public, Counselor Meritt, was allowed into this crime scene apartment prior to DPD executing their published search warrants for starters and the Rangers have been stated and shown to be at odds with those inside the DPD that wanted a murder charge within less than 24 hours.

Now what are things both organizations are really good at?

Psychologically manipulating and controlling the public would be one thing.

Masterfully done via intermittent and piece-meal release of public records accompanied by well crafted story lines, or absense of any to distract and divert attention away from why AG was not treated as any other criminal. Propaganda tactics advocated by Marx and used without qualms by the Machiavellians a s Standard Operating Procedure.

Ask any cop, they are trained to forget certain things very fast.

Any other would have been arrested on the spot and likely still awaiting a bail hearing. Of course in her exceptional case, the FOP would have sprung her no matter the amount and quickly just as you can bet she will be provided the finest killer cop defense attorneys money can buy.

Wondering if the same judge that refused to sign the warrant gave in or another judge signed it??

Good post.
I’m going to hold my position that, moving forward, we will see this case handled transparently. We shall see.

I’m now going to go watch an hour of Mayberry RFD reruns to feel better about life.
