Would you honestly be able to post the same if it were your own son that had been shot and killed under the same circumstances?
He wouldnt. Something about Botham... you know... something the poster sees that makes him believe Botham's life doesnt matter.... hmmm

I have no truck with Amber. She made a mistake. He that is without sin among us, let him or her cast the first stone...
Going to the wrong apt was a mistake.
Shooting and killing him was not a mistake.
It was intentional.

Might you feel differently if Bo was your family member??

Well, you should probably quit beating around the bush and say what you want to say about his hand symbols. Of course while adhering to TOS, and realizing the man in the referenced photo has nothing to do with the horrific shooting of Botham.

I said what it appeared to be, more like 96 than 69 while rejecting your image reversal theory, and since I'm not "with it" and up on hand signs, I have no idea other than the gesture is very intentional. Do you know him and that he is her brother-in-law?

She had MANY other options.

She had no reason to shoot to kill

I have a HUGE problem with that

Oh good lord, a hint on what constitutes a mistake: your sentence “I have no truck...”

She made a series of choices. This is murder not a “mistake”

And if we want to go all bible here’s a few:

Proverbs 14:7
“Leave the presence of a fool, for there you do not meet words of knowledge.”

Deuteronomy 10:18
“Cursed be anyone who moves his neighbor's landmark.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’”

Galatians 5:22-23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

Oh and 2 of Gods Top Ten:
“Thou shall not kill”
“Thou shall not bear false witness”

You believe it was an accident. Got it.

I don't.

Do you have any statistics as to how many hunting accidents occur in ones home?

Sometimes hunters face charges. One was shooting at a deer, or thought he was shooting at a deer, last year and accidentally shot a woman who was walking her dog- and was charged with manslaughter. Law enforcement should be held accountable to law like everyone else- no more no less.

By all accounts, some posted here personally it does not have a good name.

For you to be correct, you would have to prove that Amber knew she was entering the wrong apartment, and you cannot and will never be able to prove this. <modsnip: rude>

Murder is premeditated. So far there is absolutely nothing suggesting that.

I hate that the family hired the lawyer they did. But IF this was an accident, the city and police department should IMO be held somewhat responsible. A 15 hour shift and armed.

I wish we knew where in the apartment he was when he was shot. It makes more sense to me that he heard her fumbling with the door. Looked out and saw a cop, so he opened the door to her.

We do not have to prove anything. Can you prove that she was not reckless in the extreme by not even looking at the apartment number she was trying to enter?

No, murder does not have to be premeditated. That is why there are degrees of murder charges.

If that could be proven it would bump up charges to perhaps 1st degree murder. She is now charged with manslaughter until the Grand Jury is able to look at the totality of evidence.

Actually hunting "accidents" are at times charged as manslaughter, which requires recklessness. Hunters worth their salt will tell you you don't fire until and unless you can identify your target AND that the path is clear before and after your target.

1st post so apologies, if I'm not quoting/replying correctly .

I don't have to prove it. Websleuths is not a court of law. I can believe what I want without proving my position <modsnip: rude>

For your position to be true, YOU would have to prove she did NOT know. But I'm not going to ask <modsnip: rude>.

I didn't say "not charged"... I said "murder"...and you prove my point, manslaughter or something less is the appropriate charge...pending the results of the apartment search
