I must say, as an RN, I worked over 10 years of 12 hour night shifts. Anyone who thinks night sift is the same on your body as a day shift is wrong. I never turned down the wrong street or went up to the wrong house. I can say that on more than one occasion as I was driving home on the interstate I was so tired that I was having double vision. How is it possible to be so disconnected that you go to the wrong apartment? There are visual cues, like the bright red rug and there are instinctual clues - that feeling that you are in the wrong place. Make me wonder if the officer has some other problems affecting sense of selfie and surroundings. Would love some of our psychology informed members to chime in on this?

The social media posts from her apartment neighbors do NOT present as if they are sympathetic or embracing of her and her actions.

Oh, she is moving out of her apartment? I would guesss apartment management suggested that she do that. Doubt residents of the building would want to continue to live there if she stayed.

Thank you for posting. I'd been very curious to see his apartment. I'm assuming the 6 foot plus high bullet hole is the shot that missed. moo

ETA: Lucky she didn't kill another innocent tenant, imho.
The CNN video shows the bullet hole.

Sad, I appreciate you sharing this but cannot bring myself to click like. There really isn't much about any of this I actually "like." So wrong and so tragic.

I would be willing to bet that Mr. Jean’s apartment was not trashed out as shown in the photos until after LE searched the place. Notice the hassock with the bowl of cereal and two sheets of white paper. Also notice how neatly lined up the two papers are, one above the other. Fastidious, neat. He was an accountant. My BIL was an accountant, I worked in an office right next to payroll manager - these types can be OCD perfectionists.

Bittersweet remembrance. An extraordinary being is lost to this world.

I am looking for the link in the first thread. It was written that she asked permission and was told not to tell details of what happened.

It is interesting, I just read a link on heavy.com, above, that was written over a week ago, in that article, Killer is quoted, "I worked a 12 hour shift". Amazing how that keep jumping...15 hours, 12 hours..the inconsistencies here just keep adding up for Killer Cop.

double tap going for head and a certain kill shot on a falling/moving target?

How does the red "wrong key" warning we've heard about work? Does the apartment number turn red? Flash?

TIA if anyone knows.

ETA: I see there is a light above the key hold which flashes red. Still wondering if the number lights up also.

Yes. That's why they are now testing for bullet trajectory.

If there was another person with him that night, s/he would have been shot at too, and not by mistake IMO.

It looks to be above and to the left of his couch. moo

ETA: His bedroom is to the left, well away from the bullet hole.

Interesting to compare the comments on the first thread. Kudos, we were spot on with this entire cluster. SNAFU!

Tick, Tock, Dallas PD better make a comment regarding Killer Cop still being on the payroll. The "demonstrations" are not going to go away. Sunday, preachers are gonna rile up folks. Monday should be interesting, as there are already protests planned all over the country for "Constitution Day", at USCIS and ICE offices. Dallas PD better pray for a weather forecast of drenching rain.

It was a link, I read it this morning, I just went back to it, and the story now says, "15 hours". This is crazy! I know it said "12 hours" before!

I agree. It is so difficult to hit the like button when I feel so mad. I do so with apprehension.

To wit, the probable cause affidavit for Guyger’s slow-walked manslaughter charge.

One prominent Dallas-area defense attorney believes this document is like nothing he’s ever seen before.

“The most remarkable part of the affidavit is where it states what the officer purportedly believed.” Le Brocq said via email, “Specially, that there was a burglar in her apartment. This is a factual question and is something for a jury to decide. If the statements are true as written in the affidavit, I see no crime having been committed.”

Probable cause affidavits are the instruments necessary to arrest someone for a crime. Typically, they are conclusory statements (many times unsupported) written against the accused, to secure a warrant for arrest. The affidavit in this case is written such that, one would question why a warrant was even issued. The author of the affidavit writes a story indicating it was a complete mistake and even concludes what the officer subjectively thought, albeit it is stated as “facts” of the case.
