Circumstances of Recovery On June 13, 2022, Brooks County Sheriff's Office personnel responded to the King Ranch in Brooks County, Texas, in reference to the U.S. Border Patrol reporting they found a deceased female on the property. BCSO Deputies went to the Muertos Pasture West and found a Hispanic adult female, wearing a blue colored blouse, black colored trousers, and black colored shoes. The top half of her body was covered with a black colored sweatshirt. Deputies found a Mexican government-issued voter's card with a photograph that matched the decedent, with the name Cutberta Roman Santiago.
