TX - Caesar & Adriana Coronado, 14, murdered, Katy, 12 March 2016

If not a boyfriend or enemy of the father, possibly they witnessed a crime? Or perhaps she was chatting with someone dangerous online?

My heart is breaking for her mama.

Only theories I have so far except for the online chat. I'm trying to go back through news reports and I can't see anything that says what the father's job was in TX.

So much we don't know......I sure hope LE knows something more. I got in a bit ago and was hoping for good news.

This story can go so many different ways with what little we have. The only bright spot I see is they didn't find Adriana. If the murderer's target was the father and she witnessed it, I would imagine LE would likely have found both of them deceased. Unless the murderer was being opportunistic for whatever reason.

The person took the time to burn the body and then drive the truck 45 miles away and burn it? More than one involved? Or he drove to Conroe where he knew he get a different vehicle?

One scenario may be that Adriana was taken to pay off a debt. The only good part about that is she will be seen as property now, and therefore she may be kept alive.

This seems exactly like the way they do things down in Mexico. You owe a debt, you pay your debt, through whatever means.
It's not just the Cartels either.......it's a state of mind.

Nothing attracts attention faster than a fire. This person(s) not only took the time to douse her father and burn him in a field, but he then drove 40 miles down the road and set the truck ablaze. Apparently he did all of this without a witness seeing it...........or did he ? He/they obviously had another ride waiting where the truck was abandoned. That simply points to at least two perps being involved, and maybe more.

Would you want to testify against this guy(s) ? Once you found out what happened down the road, would you want to call in tips? This may be a case of people keeping their mouth shut and looking the other way. Nobody wants to tangle with somebody that is this brutal and cold-blooded, even if they have vital information.

The cops are going to have to solve this one the old fashioned way....with trace evidence, interviews, and leaning heavily on unscrupulous characters for information. I also imagine they're going to have a whole bunch of doors slammed in their face, nobody wants to risk ending up like her dad.

Has LE released the location of dad's shooting? I'm wondering if it was the same location that his body was found, in his vehicle or perhaps at his home and his body was moved. Praying for Adriana. This is a scary one!

I posted a 10 minute interview yesterday with the cop in charge----see post #45.

The shooting took place in a field, or just off to the side of a highway.....they were a little cagey about that. He was shot and burned at that location. His truck was located 40 miles away in Conroe, Texas...... lit up like a Tiki torch. They claim there is evidence that Adriana was at the scene of the shooting. As far as I know, that's the only place they've been able to verify her presence.

See post #45 for full length interview

The FBI joined the search for Adriana on Tuesday, according to local officials. Deputies believe Adriana was abducted and with her father when he died.

Adriana's friend Eduardo Revuelta said he realized something was amiss when she didn't answer her phone.
“We are like something’s wrong because she’s always on her phone,” Revuelta said. “Why wouldn’t you answer us?”

If she was seen talking to someone prior to the murder/abduction I really think it was an opportunist predator, or maybe someone she met online and decided to meet up with, but figured her father would get in the way of their (likely his) plans. I'm getting vibes from the Nicole Lovell case for some reason.

I'm not sure about all that. I don't think a teen boy could pull it all off and not be caught by now. Plus DE definitely did not kill NL's parents and did not get away with it very long.

I just got around to watching the press conference that Steelman posted for us and a few things stood out to me---

1) LE sounds very confident that she was with her father when he was killed and that she was abducted

2) He said they do not believe she's still in the area (which contradicts what I've read in several news articles)

3) The person filming the footage zoomed in on a surveillance camera located on the side of the building next to where her dad's body was found (so that's encouraging; I hope the video will be helpful to LE)

4) When asked by a reporter if they believe she may now be out of the country, he said it was a possibility they were looking into

5) When asked if this could be drug related, he said that's also something we are "trying to confirm" at this point (which makes me think that LE believes it is)

I think at this point any theory is possible  :gaah:

If this is what happened he may not be a teen. As horrid as the thought is.
