TX - Caesar & Adriana Coronado, 14, murdered, Katy, 12 March 2016

  • #401
I'm not too sure this isn't the one and only perp involved. I said late yesterday this sort of had the feel of one of those bizarre Craigslist crimes that is rooted in armed robbery and then everything takes a turn for the worse. I based a lot of that looking at the map and seeing all the travel distance involved.

Was her dad trying to sell his truck ? Was he trying to buy something ? Did he normally carry around a 5 gallon can of gasoline in his truck with him? if so, this perp could be behind the entire scheme all by himself. What started out as a test-drive and an armed robbery, turned into a rape and double murder by the end of the day.

If you look at a map, you will see how they went through Conroe, then 45 miles to the north, and then back south 45 miles to Conroe again.

Weird because I just posted about the possibility of Adriana maybe being killed in the truck, which reminded me of Tim Bosma...I'm not sure about robbery as the motive though, due to the fact that LE has gone out of their way to reveal that the father has been involved in some shady stuff, or however they phrased it iirc.

(Eta: O/T, I'm noticing we used to have more time and "chances" to edit our posts before it says "last edited by" with the time)?

Yep. Here's the news article about the one found in NW Houston on Wednesday. It says it "appears to be that of an African-American woman in her early 20s" but they weren't sure.

(O/T, I remember during the search for Heather Elvis, at least one other body, maybe more, was found. How odd when someone else is found!)

I've got family visiting tonight so I've been hastily cleaning. THREE women's bodies found in Houston Wednesday? I take it they mean separately? And now are saying one is possibly Adriana?

:(

When he was sitting in the pickup for 6 minutes, most likely calling someone to come get him, he could have been calling his girlfriend, his brother, or his mother. Either way, the SUV was there in a very short amount of time, maybe 7-9 minutes max.

That's why I believe this guy lives right there in the neighborhood, and is totally familiar with the area he torched the truck. He's spent time back behind that U-haul building at one point or another.

(I know it's irritating or whatever that LE might not have disclosed that they already had her body. But remember, they really don't have to tell us squat. They have to do whatever it takes, whatever is best for the outcome of their investigation.)

I see what you mean, and I'm all about the importance of awareness space, and you could be right, but it just seems odd that they would torch the vehicle close to themselves, bring attention to their area. Now with that being said, sometimes they like to have things close so they can keep an eye on things, but not getting that vibe here. Now, you could be right, they live nearby, and maybe they had to just get rid of it fast?

Article about Awareness Space from Jessica Ridgeway's case for reference:
http://www.boulderweekly.com/news/j...-lsquoawareness-spacersquo-may-lead-to-clues/

Also, I'm getting reminders/vibes about Nate Tallman's case too.

Great, then maybe they've been lying about having this perp in custody as well....but I tend to doubt it.

The Click2Houston/KPRC2 article has been updated with comments from the Walker County Sheriff.
.
“There is no confirmation, no scientific evidence confirming that any of the three are part of our investigation, we’re waiting on additional testing by the ME’s office to confirm the identity of those individuals that were located,” he said.

He stressed that there is no positive confirmation that the body found with the item linked to Coronado is actually her.

He also said Adriana's father had served time in prison in Mexico but wouldn't say why.

Agree. They may have lured him there and sent the sidekick to get rid of the vehicle.

Yes, sidekick. (That's what Nate Tallman's case was like. The sidekicks were just acquitted btw of the actual murder. Pot and money were involved in Nate's case. He was later dumped over the state line.)

Alrighty then. Guess I'll put a hold on.

Also, again, here is LE going out of their way to talk about the dad's history...

These guys are unbelievable. They wouldn't say $@*t if they had a mouthful of it.

I imagine their main concern is this suspect hightailing it south across the border if it's been made public that Adriana was found. If not that, just going into hiding in general.

It should be pretty easy for his friends and family to figure it out though, he would be the one that came home Sunday night smelling like gasoline and singed hair.

When they found the bodies on Wednesday and said young woman in 20s for a second I thought maybe that's her and guessed the wrong age but when they said African American I was like oh ok it's not her. But now I'm thinking she was proably burned and confused her for aa. Absolutely no offense to anyone. Either way r.i.p. to those bodies found

I can't believe the way law enforcement plays head games and flat out lies to the public.

Sometimes I really hate thos f %$#@**g guys.

We're all sitting here the last two days thinking we're trying to find a live child, and they know all along that isn't the case.

Keep this in mind on the next case, and some of the pending ones, where everybody wants to swear up and down that the cops are being straightforward with the public during one of their press conferences.

It doesn't bother me that they waited. It may have been out of kindness or respect for her mother. Her mother only returned home last night. Sadly, Adriana may have been burned. If there was something that they wanted the mother to identify it was probably done last night or this morning.

UGH. I'm so sad about this. I KNEW something was off when Adriana was barely mentioned in the presser yesterday. It was all about finding the perp. I really hope they find this 🤬🤬🤬. :(

I've been doing my best to follow along from my hospital bed all week. I don't want to derail Adriana's thread. When I saw the flurry of alerts in Tapatalk, but her thread was still labeled AMBER ALERT, I felt like I was on a :rollercoaster:

After reading the latest MSM posts, I'm literally crushed. I'm sickened, broken-hearted, and in :tears: I want to wait until we know for sure. The cryptic way the article is written / way this has been handled so far just hurts!

I just don't know what to think. If the ID requires DNA or dental records, then how in the world did the writer get the green light to go with this story? Was the want to be the first to break the news the driving force? Stranger things have happened, IMO.

I can't lose sight of the fact that this family, for all intents and purposes, has been annihilated. I'm waiting to hear official word from Tim Miller/TES or LE. That's jury where I'm at. My head and my heart aren't in the same place.

Adriana is who matters to me....

My eldest is months away from 13 years old. I've been away from her and her little sister since Monday, and not by choice. Being separated from the ones you love is hurtful in a way words can never describe. It causes physical manifestations of pain, and I'd do just about anything to go home.

This family will never be able to put the pieces back together again. A father is never coming home. I can't bear to write the rest.

To those who are responsible, there is no justice harsh enough. At least I find small comfort in the knowledge that this happened in Texas. With multiple POIs already in LEs sights, I have faith they will pay dearly for their crimes - as they should...

I agree. I think the area he ditched the truck is his home turf.

Can you please share a link? Perhaps bad reporting but CBS say's Thrus. night.

Adriana Cavazos, the mother of the 14-year-old, was in Mexico recovering from surgery when she received news about her husband and daughter. The mother returned home Thursday night and spoke to Channel 2.
