TX - Caesar & Adriana Coronado, 14, murdered, Katy, 12 March 2016

These guys are unbelievable. They wouldn't say $@*t if they had a mouthful of it.

I imagine their main concern is this suspect hightailing it south across the border if it's been made public that Adriana was found. If not that, just going into hiding in general.

It should be pretty easy for his friends and family to figure it out though, he would be the one that came home Sunday night smelling like gasoline and singed hair.

In all honesty. Most from Mexico that are here usually want to stay in the U.S.

Now those who want to flee the United States are usually criminals within the U.S and know that they will have to flee back home soon to avoid a U.S arrest or long-term incarceration while on parole or out on bail.

So imo. I think these guys were facing charges within the United States already. And decided to have one last hoorah before leaving. Jmo.

So I would see who didn't show up to court or to their probation officer. Jmo.

Can you please share a link? Perhaps bad reporting but CBS say's Thrus. night.

Adriana Cavazos, the mother of the 14-year-old, was in Mexico recovering from surgery when she received news about her husband and daughter. The mother returned home Thursday night and spoke to Channel 2.

She did that interview yesterday afternoon I believe.

So there are at least 4 different crime scenes?

1. Location of point of interception/ abductions (unknown at this time as understand it?)
2. Location of father's body
3. Location of burned out truck
4. Location of Adriana's body

ETA: LE's got their hands full with this one. Multiple jurisdictions and agencies, etc.

I was wondering why they kept saying they were working "multiple" crime scenes in the Houston area vs "two" or "a couple".

... I'm all about the importance of awareness space, and you could be right, but it just seems odd that they would torch the vehicle close to themselves, bring attention to their area. Now with that being said, sometimes they like to have things close so they can keep an eye on things, but not getting that vibe here. Now, you could be right, they live nearby, and maybe they had to just get rid of it fast?

I had to go back and look because early reports were that they found his body and his truck and the implication, at least to me, was that these two events, both the crimes and the authorities becoming aware of them, happened almost simultaneously. That's not the case, there's a gap of at least 8-10 hours. Maybe it was planned that way, to use the truck for something else, or something happened during that time (body found?) to motivate the guy to get rid of the truck.

  • Saturday - Adriana last seen, picked up early that morning by her father (source)
  • Sunday - close to noon/afternoon - father's body found (above source on "close to noon", source dated 3/17)
  • Sunday - night at 10:26 - truck set on fire (timestamp on surveillance video)
  • Monday - 1:24 am - police became aware Adriana may have been with her father (source)
  • Monday - 2:32 am - Fox 26 News publishes the Amber Alert, and leads the article with police finding her father's body at 1:24 am that morning
(Is there a way to find out exactly when an Amber Alert is issued when it's not in your state?)

When he was sitting in the pickup for 6 minutes, most likely calling someone to come get him, he could have been calling his girlfriend, his brother, or his mother. Either way, the SUV was there in a very short amount of time, maybe 7-9 minutes max.

That's why I believe this guy lives right there in the neighborhood, and is totally familiar with the area he torched the truck. He's spent time back behind that U-haul building at one point or another.

I think it's also possible that the driver of the SUV may have already been nearby. He could have been circling the area to make sure it was clear of LE or potential witnesses during the time gap before giving him the go ahead to set the fire.

RBBM:

Hi Jen Darme,

I follow the @AMBERAlert Twitter feed. Adriana's AA tweet went out at 11:17PM West Coast time on 13 Mar 16. I'm still trying to find out if this is consistent with the actual time of her AA or if there's any deviation

Can a moderator please change her age to 14 in the heading? I know it doesn't mean much, but I'd imagine her mom would want the correct age, as she was specific about it yesterday.

If the body was burned, then whatever the article found on her body was, it was still recognizable after the fire.

Thank you! I've been following several of the (increasingly annoying) reporters and didn't even think to follow Amber Alerts.

That 11:17 pm Pacific/1:17 am Central is the earliest time I've heard. Multiple articles noted 1:24 am CDT but most have been updated and the specific time removed.

That one article is all I see. No other media source has reported it that I've seen. So I'm still hoping it isn't Adriana. That's too depressing to think about when you look at that 14 yo's photos.

I wonder if it could be a carjacking. Took dads credit cards, money. Hopefully they took dad to his bank to get out money and they will be on surveillance camera. Then dad fought with them and he was killed.

I'm thinking that it was her cell 'phone, and that it might have even helped LE and/or TES (I think Tim Miller is really great) pinpoint Adriana's location.

This really sucks. I have a 13-year-old daughter. I couldn't imagine what her mom must be going through :(.

Adriana was their only child! Oh my... poor mother, poor family!

Can someone link me to the confirmation that our dear girl is dead? Thanks :(

If it has not been confirmed, and the thread has not changed the title, why are we speculating how she died?
If one of the bodies was likely her but the only source is click2houston, why are the other news sources not all over it?

Until we have confirmation I will still pray for her safe return.

MOO

I haven't seen anything else either. That one article though, about the time it was turned into more of a memorial page, an investigative reporter was added to the byline. He's tweeted about her three times in a row this afternoon, the first and only time he's mentioned her since a single tweet on Monday. The first tweet today: "New AMBER Alert case info: body found thought to be that of missing teen, but not positively identified." It's ambiguously worded and I did check to see if her Amber Alert had been updated and it hasn't. The "news" article was updated ~30 minutes after he tweeted and his tweets were added to it. The new case info tweet was placed just below the first paragraph. Just under his new breaking news video that quickly points out "we broke this story first".

That none of the tweets link to the article indicates he knows it's an egofest. Other journalists wouldn't hesitate to point out that's it obvious they're much more concerned with being first -- and he's trying to make sure everyone knows it -- than with being right. There's no consideration of the potential consequences to Adriana if they're wrong and she's still alive. I know the odds are low given the situation and the amount of time that's passed but I hope they're wrong.

WALKER COUNTY SO: ITEM FOUND AT SITE OF WEST HOUSTON BODY DISCOVERY POSSIBLY LINKED TO MISSING TEEN

1248788_630x354.jpg

HOUSTON, TX (KTRK) -- The Walker County Sheriff's Office says an item found at the west Houston site where a female's body was found Wednesday could be linked to missing Katy teen Adriana Coronado.

On Wednesday, officials found the body of a female in the 11100 block of Mayfield. That female had been shot multiple times.

The Walker County Sheriff's Office says an item found with that body possibly links it to the Amber Alert case. Officials won't yet say what that item is.

Also, the bullets may match those found with her father. Until they have scientific proof, no one will positively ID her, but it's my opinion that they know it is her.
