Maybe went to her car to find a charger?
Her Mom put it on the charger for her, stated in linked news articles. So it's likely this wasn't the case.

I wonder if she was looking for her phone in the car and then decided to walk without it.

It does bother me, assuming all her friends and family say is accurate, is that she disappears on the one walk when she doesn't have her phone with her. Unlikely things do happen.

Hopefully, there are other cameras in the neighborhood. To be honest, I own a Ring camera and turned down the sensitivity on the cameras since it tended to activate my phone alarm every time a car or walker went past our house. I suspect many Ring owners have done the same.

That’s why I’m suggesting it. Carmela wakes up. Sees her phone is flat or has low battery. Can’t find her charger.

Leaves her phone in the bedroom to run out to the car to see if she has left her charger in the car, but something happens to her from there.

Mum does find a charger or uses her own charger to charge daughters phone.

I’m presuming it’s dark when Carmella woke up but not when mum woke up.

What a beautiful young lady. It sounds like the phone was in need of charging. I was curious as to if she turned it off. Now I don't think so.

Does she go to school? Have a job? I’m wondering about her schedule, the places she usually went or people she has contact with at work/school.

Don’t know why, but I’m getting stalker vibes…..someone knew her routine and saw an opportunity. 😞

I’m wondering if there is more video footage that they’ve seen but LE doesn’t want the perpetrators to know they’re on to them.

I wonder why the mom was sleeping with her? Do they live together and routinely do that or was she only staying with her mom for Christmas and maybe that was the only arrangement available? If that’s the case and she went to bed/fell asleep without being fully prepared bc it’s not where she normally sleeps..and didn’t have her own charger or put her phone on the charger, it’s possible she woke up to use the bathroom, realized her phone died and quickly went to the car to get her own charger. Mom wakes up noticing she’s not there, thinking she may be on a walk or something and calls the phone but gets vmail bc it’s dead. She could’ve just looked around the bed area and saw it laying there and then puts it on her own charger that maybe Camila didn’t know/realize was there. Meanwhile anything could’ve happened while she was at the car. Someone mentioned a possible stalker, for them to know her schedule, I would think she must stay/live there with her mom for that to be the case. If it was just a chance enounter, maybe someone saw her out there, got her attention, and called her over to their vehicle to kidnap her? Either way, she certainly didn’t choose to go missing that morning & I highly doubt she would have chosen to take a walk knowing her phone was dead. Did she have on shoes or slippers? If she still had on her pajamas I’m thinking no shoes…

I just came across this story and haven’t read articles but now I guess I better do that so I can see if there’s any answers to my questions. I really hope she’s found alive but this just doesn’t feel good.

Could she have been sleeping with Mum because she was frightened of someone? Left her phone to escape stalker calls/messages?
Is Mum a suspect?
I’m sure a lot of information can be gathered from her digital profile.
Not a good sign she has been missing all over Christmas IMO

Ok so she had on white shoes and we really can’t tell if that’s her or not on the ring cam footage but her car lights were on. That’s not something you would do if you were just going to your car for something real quick… she would have had her keys in the ignition for the lights to be on. I find that strange even if she was “going for a walk”

And why would she turn her car on if she was going for a walk.

There’s a piece of the puzzle we might not be privy to. I’m stuck on why her car lights would be turned on if she was just looking for something. Wonder what was her last call/text? Did her boyfriend or friend say they were coming by and she went out to start the car to talk in it? Idk but that’s so weird. If I’m going on a walk, I’m def taking my phone and most likely want my AirPods. I’ll skip a walk if I don’t have either. Was she the kind of person to take a walk every single morning or just sometimes? They aren’t telling us something that is key to this story though.

First things, first. Prayers for her safe return.
As others have mentioned, a few things IMMEDIATELY jumped out to me when I heard about this case. Mom saying she's had to go out and retrieve her in the past. Something about that statement bothers me a bit. What adult has to go out and bring home someone simply going for a walk. Then the mom saying they were in the same bed. I have a coworker who would do that occasionally with her daughter of similar age to watch movies together, but when I hear it here, methinks its to keep an eye on her.

I think there are things being left out here, just so the public doesn't dismiss this case as a wandering teen who may be going through something, or possibly choose to self-disappear. Teen girls of that age, NEVER leave the house without their phone. I know we can't rule out an abduction, but this is 7am, not 3am. These houses were pretty close together, thus someone would have hear a commotion if she was grabbed. Typically, the bad guys aren't out at 7am, unless she has a routine and someone was stalking her.

When I unlock my door, my lights do come on for a few seconds. I think they also come on when I lock the door. I wonder if in this photo they just happened to be on due to her unlocking the car.

This does not look good, but I hope I'm wrong.

Someone mentioned on a Facebook post about this that some cars will turn their headlights on when you open the door, I wonder if this is the case here? Do we know what type of car she owns? Also, I'm not sure if a 19 year old would think to do so, but I would turn off my lights if they were shining into a home when it was dark, just as a courtesy. I also noticed in the footage that there appeared to be lit up Christmas decorations on the lawn and some of the homes also had lights on. Is this normal at that time of the morning? Google tells me sunrise in Texas at this time of year is just before 7.30am, so it would have been dark a while longer if she went to her car just before 7am.

I have many questions, some of which are:
Why was she sleeping with her mother?
Is that her usual home?
Was anyone else home, or staying over at the time?
Why was her phone on the bed and either turned off or out of charge?
Does she normally wake around that time?
When she walks, is it usually light out, and is it usually early morning?
What was so important she went to her car in the dark?
Why does her mum usually go looking for her on her walks if she always takes a phone, and why doesn't she just let her walk without going to get her?

Given the area is known for trafficking, could that be an avenue to follow? She's young, attractive and the target market for it, sadly.

I’m so scared for her. If it’s true the area is known for trafficking that’s not good. I pray she’s ok but fear the worst. God Speed in finding her asap

Why would she go walking alone in the dark in an area known for possible trafficking?
