Why would that be?? Deferring to more seasoned WS'ers...
Judging from your join date, you are more seasoned than me (though I’m feeling crusty :p). I am with you and deferring to others. My guess is LE haven’t entered it in though.

I understand at this time police do not suspect foul play however she is a primary caretaker of a minor child, at what time in this process do they consider her missing? Just a thought but if she's like me maybe she stopped for gas somewhere along her route to work. I always put off getting gas when going home after work on Friday thinking I can always get it come Monday morning on my way to work, then I really am rushing around at that point. She may not have used her debit card but a credit card/gas card or cash could have been used. I can only think of one reason I would stop on my way to work if I was running late and that would be for gas to get there. When looking for camera activity that could be a good area to look into.

where is her freaking car!! this is nuts! no video surveillance of her car AnYwHERE!!

Im not buying it! I think LEO is sitting on information.

The caught the kids in philly who killed the 76 yo man in under 2 weeks BUT Texas can’t track her tag and find her car? ‍♀️

I mapped her route to her job on Google Maps a couple different ways. I then went through it on Street View and it's so built up with businesses that there's no way her car isn't on a store, restaurant or security video from somewhere.

I hear there are several different routes she could have taken and there are a few hospitals on those routes. Wonder if they have checked those parking lots, as its a great place to blend in a vehicle.

I work for the largest law firm in the state. And if someone on my team failed to show up to work, and failed to call in, we DO send someone out to check on them because we're like one giant (dysfunctional) family. So if one of my paralegals failed to show up, you better believe I'd be knocking on her door or have one of our investigators doing it. There's no way we'd wait. So the manager's efforts here are not unusual.
Must be the nature of legal work. HR would likely not even tell me the home adress of one of my employees unless I expressed some specific safety concern and then they would likely send LE to do a wellness check.

I am thinking that after a short time on the job she may have shared something with her coworkers that she didn't share with mom and it made them immediately concerned.

I work at a pretty large law firm. My office manager would never show up to check on an employee if they didn't show up for work. Maybe if she knew of issues at home or personal details of an employee's life that would make her worry but definitely not if she just didn't show up. I understand it may be because she called and said she was running late and on her way in but I still don't see that happening at my office.

My boss would absolutely be at my house. But I've been with him for 13 years. He would be blowing up my husbands phone, my mother's and yes, he would be at my house within two hours of not hearing from me after a I told him "I'm on my way"

But Chrissy was new. She clearly impressed them if they offered her a position after such a short time as a temp/PT person. They found her focused, punctual, ready to tackle whatever work she was given. I could have sworn I saw one article in which a coworker or the managing partner had said something about her being professional and not about drama [paraphrased] but I can't find it now so maybe I am mistaken. At the time I thought what an odd thing to say. I might be losing my mind. sorry for the stream of conscious post.

“Employees are hard to find right now. And, you know, they’re not all perfect or do a wonderful job. And one employee that … stood out to us was Chrissy because she was so low-key and there wasn’t any drama,” Wilson said.

Seems like enough diversity of opinion that it isn't that strange and may not indicate anything

Any thoughts on where Chrissy worked prior to this job? Maybe knowing more about her recent past would help.

  • #293
My guess is that she had a friend who was already working at the law firm and was referred in for the job. Also guessing that the friend/colleague was the one who checked on her.

Checking in here, was hoping to hear that Chrissy had been safely located. Given her described presentation when she left the house, could she possibly have checked herself into a mental health facility, and privacy laws are preventing them from allowing that information to be shared with LE? Just considering she may have been having an anxiety event, she recognized it, and sought help.

jmo / brainstorming with hope for her safety

I'm still kind of amazed they haven't located the vehicle yet.

I think this is strangely quiet. How seriously is she being looked for other than by her family and friends?

I'm not, it is a large city. I have not looked into the manpower they have at the police department. Do they have a missing persons task force or any detectives assigned to the case and how many. Is there an active investigation or did they just issue a BOLO so the shift offers can look when they have time. If it is just a BOLO at this time it could be slow going to locate this vehicle.

Yes, and a large city should have a lot of CCTV to track/follow movements. MOO

True, but did they jump on that right away or at all? Does the CCT record and if so for how long. Like I said if it is an active investigation they may have some information not released yet but if its just a BOLO...we wait
