"Benzick: Starting at 3:30 am to 9:46 am, Aug 30, 2014. Arochi car traveling along SH 121 to Spring Creek. #arochitrial"

This makes me wish I could see the map and where he's indicating. It sounds like the completely opposite area from anything we have heard about before, with him traveling WEST on 121 rather than east. That would be intriguing in relation to the need to find her, but place names can sometimes be deceiving too (is this the road with that name? the creek itself? an area or subdivision?), so without a map ....

ETYA - I see from later comments here that perhaps "to Spring Creek" was a reference to going to a place that was in range of the tower located at SC/Coit. Without a map and the opportunity to observe, these specifics can be confusing by tweet.

Respectfully, BBM,
Respectfully, for ME there is a question if the car was damaged/not damaged at the point that the State was trying to prove/establish. And so far they have raised reasonable doubt with that witness testimony. I have not heard yet the State reason why it was or wasn't relevant -damage. I will await that from trial.

And it is relevant. Everything in a trial is. Hopefully for the State they can prove/get the answer by other testimony. But as someone who hasn't followed and as the jury is suppose to do. I am forming my opinion on what is presented in the COURTROOM.

You keep posting they have proof HE PUT HER IN HIS TRUNK. I await that proof too.

JMHO.

IMO, it feels like a red herring; it encourages jurors to make their own conclusions of what could have happened (did he strike her, did he take it off roading in an unusual location, etc.), it may explain/contradict his reported injuries, it can discredit his character as a liar (as if he needs help with this), etc. The vehicle damage occuring pre or post disappearance doesn't change the fact that she was last seen by witnesses and CCTV with EA. At no point have I heard LE even insinuate they believe the damage to be connected to her disappearance, only that there was damage to his vehicle and the reason behind it is still a mystery and therefore, of interest.

.@XXXX They walk into garage at 3:55 am. Phones each ping off Siemens cell tower an hour later at 4:48 and 4:56 #arochitrial

Those texts convey accurate info. The timeline is
1 3:50 am more or less - EA and CM walked into the garage at about 3:50 am more or less.
2 3:55 am more or less - his car left the garage, supposedly (per him) with him having left her and him going home.
3 3:55 am for the next hour - their phones are in the same area here and there, following the same path
4 4:45 - 5:00 more or less - per the pings, an hour after they entered the garage, they are both back at the vicinity of that garage

I can't explain the ping data, but recall that they have toll records that show he took 121 (Sam Rayburn) and went through at Custer. I believe these records are inadmissible due to the way they were obtained. :-(

What he lied about was that he originally told the detectives that he went home via Legacy (east toward Allen). This hasn't been said in court (at least according to tweets) but was in an affidavit way early on in the case.

The toll records are admissible. Originally the defense got them suppressed due to an error in the wording in the search warrant, but then that ruling was reversed when the state showed EA had given permission, which meant no warrant was needed.

Hopefully the prosecution will pull the ping data together because right now, it's confusing me. Why is EAs phone pinging at Coit/spring creek at the same time that he's leaving the sol garage? When does 121/spring creek come into play? Or, are the reporters tweeting out confusing information?

Notable is that there was quite a bit of construction taking place at Nebraska Furnituremart which is close to 121/spring creek. Or, if the spring creek reference was on the side of town where it intersects 75, oak point park is close to there. Oak Point park is huge and close to EAs home, probably the most likely spot for EA to hide a body.

121 and spring creek rd aren't near nebraska furniture mart though.

I am sure it is because i am from out of the area but i cant follow the pings. I wish there was a simple way to map it. If their phones didnt ping for an hour, does that mean they were sitting relatively still within the confines of that cell tower coverage area.

MotionWitness HF's Motion to Invoke his Fifth Amendment Privilege

Is there a way that we can look up to see if the ruling to allow HF to plead 5A has been appealed?

Sorry I am on my tablet and haven't figured out how to do somethings on it yet. I have a question. I tried hard to not post any non media reporters tweets. I did post several tweets only putting 🤬🤬🤬 in non media name. To show context of media answer to maybe show some context to testimony. My question and I am not trying to be snarky but I do not understand why many others same type posts of mine are still posted and not mod snipped, yet this one that was quoted is. I am confused. I have only been trying to help with posting tweets. Not trying to cause needless work or problems. Thanks

Why do they keep bringing up pings from before she went missing?

IMO they're bringing up pings from before she went missing to establish three things to the jury:
1) A time line spanning pre and post disappearance.
2) To show she had her phone with her pre and post disappearance.
2) Most importantly, to show the reliability and accuracy of phone pings for determining location.

Interesting. Her phone pinging along GWB. That's on the other side of town.

This was probably her driving to Plano from Fort Worth for the night's festivities.

Someone hacked my twitter and I fixed mine JUST so I could give feedback haha! Jobin follows me back so he should see if I say something.

Trying to catch up and totally off topic, but my Twitter was hacked as well last week when I started following people who were tweeting about the trial.

*going back over the thread*
JMHO if HF does not testify then how will the jury know HF was or was not with his phone. Possible they may be able to enter LEO interview but as a juror I would wonder why he was not there as a witness. Judge had HF kept at the county jail in case he changes his mind or an appeal (from what I gathered from reporter tweets)

They can't enter his police interview. I don't think it will matter where his phone was. It doesn't seem relevant, especially with all the other context.

  • #538
He could have waited so long to try calling because they were fighting that night. Maybe he thought she needed a break. Then he found out she was legitimately missing.

Still catching up but I'm curious how he got EAs number? Did someone give it to him or did he redial from his phone?

Only 1.1 miles

spring creek is in plano and Nebraska furniture mart is in The Colony. Maybe its hard to know from a map...but they're not close.

I totally appreciate having an actual attorney on this site and others who put in their thoughts even if they don't claim to be a lawyer! Its very helpful to understand all of the legal stuff.

As a juror I think the jury is going to wonder WHERE HF was....even if legally it seems irrelevant, etc. They lived together, etc. Im not sure how they can really not know anything about him.

Thanks again for your help!
