All in all, I don't think Foster's testimony will help or hurt either the prosecution or the defense. I know the defense wants to paint him as an alternative suspect, but the fact remains CM's DNA was in EA's trunk, he was the last one who saw her and he lied to police about it many different times.

Holy crap intense. We're on recess. I get the feeling he didn't lie all over the place, he just plain doesn't know. Just OMG, he is so meek and quiet. He said that he didn't remember when he and CM got together or what she did for a job. I have like 10 pages of notes just from his testimony.

I need a drink.

His testimony did shed light on some things though - apparently CM was too intoxicated to drive and knew that; explains why she might have gotten into EA's car voluntarily.

All in all, I don't think Foster's testimony will help or hurt either the prosecution or the defense. I know the defense wants to paint him as an alternative suspect, but the fact remains CM's DNA was in EA's trunk, he was the last one who saw her and he lied to police about it many different times.

Being in court, I don't think he helped or hurt either side really. He came off as a very quiet, meek person who doesn't have a clue. He didn't even know if he was at Jaguars or in Plano as other records (toll records and his federal resume showed). Didn't know if he even had a toll tag. He may have cared about her because they were friends forever but not in the boyfriend/girlfriend way that we as adults would hope and expect for ourselves or our children. I think he's mainly clueless. He doesn't come off as a person who has any ill will toward anyone. He just got mixed in with a bad crowd and was using and selling drugs trying to make a buck.

Drug addiction is a terrible thing. [emoji22] I'm really even more sympathetic to CM than I was before which was a lot.
