His reasoning could have been because his attorney told him not to talk to the family. Exactly for this reason - that they will nitpick what he says and find inaccuracies. Not defending this guy whatsoever, but this is what attorneys are hired for. To advise their client and I'm sure he was just following his attorney's advice. Again, not defending this guy at all and I think about christina daily and hope we find her. I have no idea whether EA is involved or not, but if I was the last person seen w a missing person and I know for sure I didn't do anything, yet I've been interviewed by LE 4 times, you bet I would have an attorney. I lean toward it being a stranger. Who knew she would be in that garage at approx. 4:00? Not many. The group of friends she was with, certainly. But she was going to spend the night and then changed her mind. That would throw any plan if it was someone in the group because they would show up on the surveillance video entering the garage. If I wasn't part of the group, I might assume she was parked in the garage nearest 5700 Scruggs.

Only EA. But LE had his car for 11 days and I would have thought they would have found something in his trunk. 4 interviews and having his car twice and nothing, at least as far as LE has indicated.

I believe whoever did this was already in the garage before 4 AM. Someone like Matthew who just happened to see Hannah Graham as he was going through the mall and made his plan right then.

Knocking my own theory - WHO would be sitting in a garage at 4 AM? Is there pedestrian access from the shops? Janitorial personnel who might have gotten off work from cleaning an establishment at night? An employee of a bar that closed at 2:30 and had just gotten to their car a few minutes before from another access point?

Just two things to add: I am thinking that a couple of posters one here (both most likely local) seem to know something the rest of us don't. And that's okay. Whatever gets to the truth of this beautiful girl's life is the most important thing, we all agree on that.
But I want to say that the little bit of objectivity that some of us have towards EA is justified. How WOULD anybody know what he said, on what day, what changed in his statements...I just feel like some of you know more than you are able to say at this point. We get that taking his seat belt and mats are IMO kind of a big deal. They aren't looking in anybody else's car. We just don't know the timeline like LE does - YET.

BBM - maybe they do. They didn't arrest Scott Peterson until they found Lacy despite what they had on him. Lots of cases are like that. MOO

How do we know for sure the group called Christina out of the blue to invite her out? Could she have called one of them for company, if she had been upset that day/bad week etc and wanted to go out? Maybe her regular close friends were away? And they invited her along to join their plans?

They still have not arrested possible POI in Hailey Dunn's case, years after she was found, or the Bf with the wild story in Katelyn Markham's, also a few years after she was found. Either they have enough and go ahead before the victim is found (rare but happening more often), or obtain more info when a body is found, or they don't. It all depends on what they already have, or what clues a body provides, if any. Jmo

absolutely! the only time you will ever see me get ugly is if it is slamming the family or Christina. Or just outright lies lol I am not here to force views just trying to make sure facts get separated from fiction and to keep distasteful comments towards family flagged.

I would encourage everyone to be cautious of assuming he's lying about threats. Regardless of what your opinion is of him or his story, we don't know what has been said/sent to him. Cases like this bring out the best and the worst of people. It only takes one threat to come to fruition to destroy another family. It's just not something I think we should take lightly. And I would say this about ANY of the people involved in this case, including CM's family. JMO, MOO, and all that.

Great post and so true. It has happened in other cases. A person's name gets out, people formed an opinion that he HAD to be guilty and started harassing him, cyber bullying him, making FB pages about him, going to his house, just tormenting the poor man. It got so bad the police were actually following through with some of the on-line threats to the people making them, basically telling them that if something happens to this man, LE was going to look at that guy first. There are a lot of weird and unhinged people out in the world and just because we wouldn't do something like that, it doesn't mean no body would. Some people decide they are judge, jury and executioner all on their own and that they have a right to it. IMO, JMO, MOO.

I'm sure our verified posters Carlton and JMom know more the rest of us. Until the family gives me a reason to think otherwise I'm looking at their actions. Maybe that's wrong, I don't know, and if it turns out EA had no knowledge of squat you all have my mea culpa too.

I just don't see why the family would lie. How would that help them? And I have a hard time believing LE hasn't shared something with them, no matter how small. I could be way off, it's all MOO.
