Woe, I can't find your post right off but you had mentioned not being able to change number of posts viewed per page now and I too am having a problem figuring out how to change it back to like I used to have it (100 or 200 per page or whatever it was)!

Maybe a mod will clarify for us!

Thank you for your very courteous reply, Eileen. I do feel that there may be some confusion and I want to make absolutely sure I understand what you are trying to say with your questions. For instance, are you trying to ask if anyone here has absolute proof in the form of answers to your questions. I would say not at this point because at this point there are many things that are just not knowable. LE may know some of these but the best people here can do is talk about what is plausible or probable given reasonable scenarios.

I would like to ask that you present your alternative scenario that may be in the back of your mind when you ask these questions, but not yet explicitly stated. I would be saddened if I thought that you felt censored and thus restricted in your ability to be frank.

I am going to number your questions and very simply restate them so that they may be dealt with individually:

  1. Christina's DNA is in the trunk of EA's car, did it get there that morning?
  2. Did it get there a few days after?
  3. Did someone else borrow EA's car?

Now, I know that some people may feel that they are inhibited from being frank about their doubts. However, there is certainly a way to posit various scenarios that fit those doubts by simply not using names. Or one could even make up names! One could say for instance that John Doe and John Smith were also involved in the crime.

To the first matter on the list, I will acknowledge that there are different ways that Christina's DNA could have ended up in the trunk without her actually ever having been there, but I think these are unlikely. So I am going to assume that Christina's DNA is in the trunk because she was there. Now my question to you is do you affirmatively believe that it did not get there that morning? If so, why do you believe that?

To the second matter on the list. It is not impossible that it got there later. One possibility is that Christina exited the garage in the passenger seat. Therefore, the time she ended up in the trunk would have been later maybe? So where was she until she was put in the trunk? Please posit your alternative scenario.

To the third question on the list, I will have to say that the word 'borrow' means with permission. If someone borrowed the car, that person would have had to have EA's permission. Who would that be in your scenario? Or did you mean to use a word besides 'borrow?'

It would get us some distance, I think, if you would acknowledge that the burden of proof lies with the believer. Many of us in agreement with the evidence provided by LE have offered our scenarios. It would be a shame if you were not given the same opportunity to theorize upon your own questions. I do not believe TOS would prevent you from doing so, providing that you are discreet about names. You clearly believe something is up. Do you believe someone is trying to frame EA? For what motive? Do you believe LE has falsified or manipulated evidence? Again, from what motive?

Just questions.

Outstanding

* I apologize in advance for the frank statement I am about to make.... However, I feel the need to say this. {I usually am not one to come out and state something in such a unkind manner, but there is always exceptions in moments like these.}

I truly hope that EA enjoys his birthday today, rotting in his tiny jail cell. And that all of his days and nights, are long and miserable for many years to follow.....

Who is his new "Friend"? (Granted, this may have been covered -- work was busy January and February). JMS

LE can ask people whose names come up surrounding a case to give their DNA "willy nilly".
The person has the right to say yes or no.
Those who say "yes" are usually omitted from the suspect list immediately upon LE receiving their DNA profile.

Exactly what I was saying. If LE did ask, he said no. I meant to say in my original post, LE can't TAKE DNA will nilly.

From the beginning, one of the issues within the case is that LE made a statement they were still investigating. LE made clear throughout that they haven't ruled anybody out
(beyond the AK charge I guess).

There are many cases when LE proclaims they believe the suspect acted alone.
Therefore, it isn't surprising some of us wonder if anybody else is involved with Christina's disappearance.

For the posters who believe EA acted alone, even though they don't come right out and say it, believe anyone who questions someone else may be involved must be clueless idiots.
How are LE's comments justified or why should we not believe LE?

At least now, it took long enough, EA will be brought to trial on the AK charges.
Hope the trial is scheduled asap so we can all hear all of the evidence LE has gathered.

I've seen this both sides here, as well as politeness from both sides.........

To answer your question: for me LE hasn't said there is more than one accomplice . They said no one has been excluded months ago and before EA's arrest. Please correct me if I am wrong because I can't remember anything Tilly or LE has publicly said after the bond hearing!!! Also, what they said in the bond hearing was quite clear to me: they think EA killed her.

For what purpose though? LE doesn't owe us a thing, okay, but why make a statement regarding suspects at all? To keep everyone on edge and wondering?

IMO To keep EA on the edge and wondering.

I'm not exactly sure how that works. But, I'm sure that I've seen instances, maybe forensic files, where LE wanted someone's DNA to test and they set up a ruse to get it. I doubt that would be allowed in court but maybe as a way to satisfy their own, internal curiousity.

Not EA...possible witnesses and accomplices. LE wanted to make a point of letting those involved with EA or the night in question, Imo, that they might not be done with arrests. But it has been a while since they said that.

I do think LE (at least in the beginning) were not letting on what they knew to EA to catch him in lies. and to keep him waiting and wondering, hoping that he would slip up.

I'm not sure either. I know they can 'find' someone's DNA.. like if they find a cigarette butt or something, but I don't think they needed to do this.. yet. Once the DNA came back with CM's and other males, then they needed his. He was arrested shortly after, so they go it. Maybe they set up ruses when they don't have ANY evidence and need to match DNA to nail someone, but I think, since her DNA was in his car (among other things) they had enough to at least arrest him.

I really wish that they had been able to get EA's DNA sooner. I think he was vulnerable at a certain point and might have cracked. (I am not recommending any sort of improper questioning!) I think if he had felt alone and suspected sooner that we might now know more. Perhaps he might even have told where Christina is. I think once he went on television and touted himself as some sort of harassed person and defender of his family, it stoked his ego. I think he is married to that image of himself now. And of course, now he has a lawyer. What most irritates me about CM's boyfriend and friends is that I think they may have brought themselves under suspicion for a short while (HF in particular by not reporting her missing sooner!) and thus created unnecessary distraction for LE.

I hope that I am absolutely wrong about the above. I hate to think that the window for confession might have actually closed in EA's mind in the time that he thought he was in the clear.

  • #157
LE had to say no-one was in the clear, and other arrests may still be made. I'm 100% convinced EA acted alone that night. Does anyone else know what he done with CM? Perhaps. Has anyone lied? Gave a false statement or alibi? Perhaps... This could be the possibility where I think other arrests might be made.

I'm really curious as to why people feel that EA didn't act alone?

  • #158
Will EA's lawyer have seen the evidence as of yet?

I'm pretty new to this case, just started reading about it in the past few days, so I apologize in advance for my lack of detailed knowledge on the case.... With that being said, the fact that he erased everything and reset his phone could infer that he was hiding a number of things....one of which could be correspondence with someone about CM or asking for help etc.

Is there a detailed timeline already made on this case regarding EA's activities. All I really know is that he is seen on video with her entering the garage and 11 minutes later he leaves the garage. her DNA is found in his trunk and he lied about walking with her. I also know he was 3 hours lat for work....but that is about it. What is he saying he did or who did he talk to in the time in between?

Look for a user named "catpatrol", she posted on the previous page. In her signature you will find links to a timeline and a map.

Hope that helps.
