Locally we had a lady farmer who murdered her husband and reported him missing. She buried him in a manure pile with a backhoe. The police located him thru the pinging of his cell phone. They knew he didnt leave the farm. She is in jail.

Yeah... or maybe her phone rang.. incoming call or text...

Wasn't she using his phone that night to text her boyfriend because her phone's battery was dead?

I'm not sure if we have ever had clarification on that. I don't know if the battery was dead or dying...

I got the sense that she used his phone because HF wasn't answering so she sent a text from EA's phone asking how to get that good rock thinking that he may just answer that one but he did not answer that either. IIRC HF's phone was not available to him for some reason. MOO

I don't recall any report that her phone was actually dead?

Hf's phone was forensically examined by LE.

Forgive me if I've got it wrong as I haven't followed this case from the beginning, but EA's car was impounded a day after Christina's disappearance, am I right?

I couldn't help but notice the bolded bits in the article marking her 1st missing anniversary.

On a recent Saturday, Mark Morris led a group searching for his daughter. They used walking sticks to part the chest-high weeds, surveying the ground as they walked. The tree line gets a closer look as well. It’s tedious work in triple-digit heat.

Those same chest-high weeds and trees would also have been blooming when Christina disappeared. They'll be different in specific locations all over Texas because plantlife and pollen is so varied. The (relatively) few experts could tell where any samples came from, though it might take them a while.

Anybody who locked Christina in the trunk of a vehicle and then maybe took her into woods or a natural area and disposed of her, would have brought a lot of plantlife back into the driver's seat of the car. Pollen, seeds, leaves and spores wouldn't easily be removed by normal cleaning. And with a little luck, a sample of a species really unique to a small location could be in the car.

Hope investigators have invested in the services of a palynologist. Don't think they have though.

This website has good info on the kind of services that can be provided, though it's in New Zealand.

These microscopic particles (often referred to simply as “pollen”) are abundant in almost all environments, are very durable and may persist on surfaces and in soils for many years; some of the oldest known fossils are spores. Pollen grains are present in the air, they constantly settle on surfaces..

EA's Camaro was searched a couple of times shortly after CM went missing, but wasn't impounded until September 26th, about 4 weeks after CM's disappearance.

Today I saw a waitress at a restaurant that looks strikingly like Christina. Very similar facial features, hair, and petite figure. It was a struggle not to stare. I don't believe Christina is with us any longer. But I sure was hopeful.

I still think that she was probably put in a dumpster. With her small stature, she'd be easy to hide in a large box, etc.

Actually, no. They would have to talk to everyone at the apartment/party first to find out he was the last to see her. He wasn't the first one they questioned either.

The only person they had to talk to before EA was Hunter, who would have then said "she called and texted me from (whatever number) that night". Hunter would have been the natural first person to ask, since they lived together. He would have told them that, and also about the party, and then the party goers would have circled it back to Enrique. Like little neon arrows pointing right at him.

Granted he was on camera with her, but I thought they questioned the party goers before seeing the video. I could be mistaken, but isn't it how they figured out who he was?

Christina texted and called Hunter from Enrique's phone, indicating she was on her way home and needed the door left unlocked.

As far as Enrique knew, in as little as an hour or maybe as much as 2-4 hours, Hunter would be thinking "why hasn't Christina shown up?" Then Hunter would have tried to call her, gotten sent straight to voice mail. The next natural step would be to call the number she last called him from.

If he reached EA, EA would have said "I don't know man, I left her at her car."

Bingo - Immediate info that EA was the last one with her.

Again, I'm saying this is what EA had to have been thinking. I guarantee you he NEVER thought it would take almost 4 days before anyone started looking.

He had to have been absolutely terrified and paranoid after about noon on Saturday when no one had contacted him looking for her, thinking that they knew what he had done and would be coming after him at any moment!

If I remember correctly, the phone pings show that he headed towards Allen, then showed he was back north of the Shops at Legacy. I think the incident may have occured, he dumped her, then maybe went back to get her when he realized she would be easily found. Or maybe he went back to get physical evidence. Either way, I think he did all of this before showing up to work the next day.

I do think he circled back towards SAL with the plan of leaving her body there so he could say he left her at her car and didn't know what happened after that (as he actually DID say). I think he either did leave her around there, in a dumpster or some place that was opportunistic at the time like the construction site, or there were more people around by then, beginning to leave the apartments for work, or coming in from late nights, or people arriving to work, etc, and he realized Plan A was too risky so he went to Plan B and took her elsewhere.

I can't recall if the phone was verified as dead or not, but that was the assumption. I think that in testimony it was revealed that EA said he let her use the phone to call Hunter because hers was dead.

However, I do know that it's certain her phone continued to ping until about an hour after the video from the parking garage. This may mean her battery was extremely low, too low to make calls or texts, but still had just enough power to communicate with the towers.
