IMO I wonder if Christine thought having the children in the vehicle with her would be "safer" for them? I mean like strapped in their car seats, locked in the vehicle? That would minimize the physical danger to them vs if she were to be home alone with them. Three children could really get into trouble in a house "alone" vs being stuck in the car. Maybe she believed she would be found quickly and that maybe even the children crying or making noise would bring help almost immediately?
So sad. It seems like there have been so many suicides in these missing persons cases lately. I understand and can relate to the pain that makes suicide seem a viable option but it's just so so sad.
