Not much new except family is staying with the husband and kids and it is a common place to park while kids eat. Wonder if we will ever know? I kind of feel like if it is a medical emergency, we will. If it was self-harm, we won't.

The article says the children are home...maybe that's been known but I missed it. I'm really glad to hear that. I'm also glad the kids are surrounded by their grandparents. I'm sure their grandmas are loving them up. It won't replace their mommy's love, but it will help them.

I'd be interested to read a full report. Was there definite evidence that it was suicide or just assumed because of an overdose? Could it not have been an accidental overdose?
It is MOST unusual for a parent to take the children to merely witness them commit deliberate suicide without harming - taking the children with them either because they can't bear to leave them or to spite the other parent.

IMO I wonder if Christine thought having the children in the vehicle with her would be "safer" for them? I mean like strapped in their car seats, locked in the vehicle? That would minimize the physical danger to them vs if she were to be home alone with them. Three children could really get into trouble in a house "alone" vs being stuck in the car. Maybe she believed she would be found quickly and that maybe even the children crying or making noise would bring help almost immediately?

So sad. It seems like there have been so many suicides in these missing persons cases lately. I understand and can relate to the pain that makes suicide seem a viable option but it's just so so sad.

RIP Christine. Be at peace.

Seems if she were concerned about safety of the children, leaving them in the car with a dead body wouldn't be the way to go. Presumably she could have asked somebody to watch them while she did whatever.

If it were accidental overdose, I doubt the coroner would have ruled this death a suicide.

It doesn't seem likely that she'd accidentally take a large amount of medication while she was out and about running errands with her children. It's hard to fathom what she was thinking at the time.

Maybe she wanted to "take the kids with her" but not deliberately. Like waiting for a hot car death to kill them.

I guess she was desperate and felt like she had to do it right away and she couldn't leave the children by themselves. She must have been in a bad place.

Oh, that's just so terribly, terribly sad.

Of course we most likely won't be getting any more details of the suicide, but I agree, jjenny. Taking 5 pills is a mistake; taking 25 of them is not (for example). I would think the tox report or the percentage of whatever in her bloodstream or liver, etc., (I am not a pathologist or any type of medical professional) would indicate the amount well enuff for the M.E. to put the COD officially as suicide. JMO. It's just sad.
