No news-at all!! Grrr. Well, Bekki did submit her dna, but that was pretty much it. I haven't heard anything from Sgt.Davis. He said he was going to polygraph our stepdad within 2 weeks when Bekki submitted her dna-but I don't know if that's happened. I think I will send him an email and try to call.
Lion-I hope you can slow down soon so that we can see you on here more-we miss you!!!

Hi Missie ~

This is my first time to post on this case. I saw it today and have spent all day reading up on every post. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind.

The first is what (if anything) did Deanna say to Bekki that night? I know that your uncle came out and cut the "meeting" short, but I wondered if she said anything at all. I know this has been asked before, but really never did see an answer.

The second question is: At the time that your sisters received the phone call from someone claiming to be Deanna, were your sister(s) phone number published or was it a private number. It probably does not matter, I was just curious how Deanna (or someone else) would get the phone number. I am assuming that at the time of her disappearance, that your sisters did not have that apartment.

I can tell from your posts that you are a very strong and courageous lady. My hat off to you. My thoughts and prayers to you and all of your family.

Thank You Ang-I appreciate your questions.
When Bekki saw Deanna that night she asked Deanna what she was doing, Deanna sai "nothing, just riding around" and that was it-that's when our Uncle came out and cut it short.
I don't know if their number was published, or if it was even in their name-but I will try to find out.

ETA: I emailed Sgt. Davis but have not heard back, it usually takes him a while IF he does respond.

I was on the Doe Network and noticed Deanna's case had been updated there. They have an NCMEC number on her! But when I tried to look for her on the NCMEC site-I still couldn't find her.
Also, I was wondering who does the updates over there? Would Sgt.Davis be allowed to go in and update that info? I can't believe he got an NCMEC number and didn't even bother to tell us, thats something I have been asking him about for forever.

Missiemt. just checking on updates and progress. It's slow, but the wheels are turning and churning. Here's you some extra strength to continue forward warrior. We have your back, and your body when it weakens from exhaustion, lean on me.

Lub,
Sheila

Just stopping by to say Hello and to encourage you to hang in there. The answers are out there, but you have to wait until they are supposed to come. It is life. I have faith you will have your answers and the people who are supposed to will put those pieces together for you. The time does come, Missie. No one can hide forever and lies never fade. I want you to have some faith. There can be justice for her and your family.

Still no response from Sgt. Davis about Deanna's case. I want to start contacting the Mayor and City Council. I suck at writing letters-can someone help me put one together??

  • #530
Absolutely, I can and would be delighted to help! I will work on it this weekend!

(Are you sure you want to piss off Sgt. Davis tho? Seems like he has been trying at least.)

So, he still hasn't bothered to get her in NCMEC? I already wrote him about it, so if he won't respond, then you go up the chain: chief of police, then the mayor, etc.

I think she is in the NCMEC, she has an ncmec # on the doe network

I've tried very hard to be patient with Sgt.Davis, but I have a very strong feeling that it's time to seek the help of others.

Call NCMEC yourself then and ask them about this number. Then you will know the status.

You're an angel, thanks so much for helping missie. You too kelly. Hi Missiemt. Just checking in again. I so wish there was something else I can do. I do what was in my power and authority I prayed for answers, they will come one day. And in just the right season too, I believe that.

Thank you SS for helping-I appreciate it!
I never thought of calling them myself Kelly. I assumed that since they wouldn't let me put her on there that they wouldn't share info with me either.
Kool Look-continue to prey, it is working, we are getting answers slowly!

If the first letter isn't exactly what you want...pm me with the thoughts you wish to be stated so I can put a letter together that reflects EXACTLY what you want to say and accomplish! The first one is simply a rough draft and we can go from there. : )

I have never heard of a case wherein there is a NCMEC case number, but they don't have a poster up for the person. I am not 100% convinced there is a case for her there. Once there is, a case manager is assigned , and you can talk to that person, absolutely!

Let me know what happens with this. I have numerous higher up contacts within NCMEC that can assist if there are any problems for you.

Let's find out first if she indeed does have a case with them, and if so, why it's not on the site.

Thanks for the info Kelly. I think I'm going to contact the doe network and see what they say-since the NCMEC number is on their site. I wonder who put it on there. Does anyone know-can anyone submit new info about a case to the Doe Network, and do they verify all of it?

Checking in, Missie, I don't know about your questions. Give them a call.
It surely won't hurt anything. All they can do is tell you no, maybe re-direct you, etc... We do need her poster up at these sites. Ask them what will it take to get a poster up. She is a missing person with her whereabouts un-determined and un-explained. She also was a minor with suspicious circumstances surrounding the last several years of her life leading up to her mysterious end of contact with any known persons. Also suspicious events concerning (authority: principal, teachers, doctors, pastor, etc... and care takers) of Deanna the few years leading up to her disappearance.

Have you talked with your grandmother again lately to check in with her? I think by doing so, you can help her remain passionate about her own personal search too for Deanna. Which could in turn trigger maybe the most smallest of detail that could help. Including your sister too that lives in another state that was closest to Deanna.

Call the sgt. you've been waiting on. Did you get the records or copies from social services surrounding your families case? There even could be an unknown case file concerning your family you may not have ever been aware of. Normally, if there's been one filing, there's normally more. I would also try to personally contact the principal of her school at the time, and the school secretary who would be responsible for filing the paperwork either way concerning Deanna, no matter what circumstances of her leaving or moving that particular school. She may have information or rumor of Deanna's next destination concerning her schooling or yours, the other sister.

I would also continue to periodically call the step father. Time is your friend, and age mellows out people, and when their time gets nearer to pass from this world to another, they begin to re-think decisions they've made in their life, and want to right the wrongs. I just really feel he knows something that could be helpful he hasn't shared. If not the bomb.

I pray some mysteries are revealed concerning Deanna. Amen!
