Hi MissieMt, I will certainly try to befriend the person on BEBO that is using Deanna Merryfield's name.

Now, the other thing I found was on MySpace for Deanna B (I know we all detest it but that age group uses it). There is a hit on MySpace as well and I did a snapshot of the pix of the woman - wish we had the age progression so a compare could be done. The only pix I have seen are the old ones. The hit is for the Dallas area. You know what I am going to push the pix out here - no offense but Deanna's ears stuck out in my mind from the older pix but in the pix from MySpace, the ears are covered with long blond hair.

I will push out the pix and if you say Nada..No.. I will edit and take out the pix. There is not enough showing to determine if any tats.

ETA: The MySpace hit was Houston not Dallas as I noted in the main body.

I saw this girl when I did a search also. I discredited it bc she has her age as 25. That is about 7 yrs off.

I just can't tell. It is possible, but you can't see the ears in the myspace pic and because the head is turned differently from Deanna's, I'm having trouble comparing other features.

Missy - I can't wait to see what you think. Does she look like you or your sisters?

I'm still unsure. I can't tell the eye color, but when I blow up the picture they look green. What color do they look like to you guys?

I think they are greenish-brown whatever that makes them (the eyes). I have sent through the BEBO friend request and will post if I get anything back. Actually, she looks a little bit like you I thought but I agree the age is off.

I think I will do a bit more tracking on the BEBO angle with whoever is using the name Deanna Merryfield as their name and see if there are any other social networking sites that are using her name (you have already been down this route I am sure).

Berger is not a familiar name to me, but that doesn't mean much.
Is there anyway you can try to "friend" that person bebo? I don't have an acct. there.

As far as the incident in 1995 and i.d. Grrr, I have no earthly idea how to get more info. It's frustrating because I feel like we are working with nothing here!

The incident in 1995 where she was identified by LE must have some basis to it - have to question whether she was incarcerated at that point - is there any way to check on those types of records for 1995. I have checked most of the archived news for Dallas/Fort Worth for 1995 and see nothing that would point to Deanna. Whatever the incident was, she was in police custody long enough for them to really find out who she was and positively identify her so it wasn't a normal traffic type violation IMO.

Just very frustrating - I will do some more digging though.

Boy, I am done for the day and the place is hoppin. YES! Missie and I discussed a theory about the 1995 sighting. Perhaps police were called to a domestic situation. That is perhaps why they would have seen her tatoos, and I believe Missie said that the Sgt said that she was not "arrested" or detained. Am I correct in this Missie?

Ok--my thoughts on the "pic"...

Her eyes look hazel (green/brown). The chin and the cheek brown structure are similar to the 2nd picture on the project jason site. See how both their cheeks "dimple" or "crease" the same way?

I do not want to get Missies hopes up, but this person looks like someone to explore. The nose appears to be thinner than Deanna's, but we are looking at her at an angle, and the bridge does appear wider, like Deanna's. Does she really look nothing like you guys Missie? Not at all like Bekki? I would not worry about the birthdate if the photo is a possible, because she may have changed it.

I also looked for a Deanna Berger on Facebook, and there are several who could be candidates, including one in Houston who looks like an older version of the photo posted above. I can't post them here, but if you have facebook, just do a friend search.

You are correct Jules, Deana was never detained or anything like that. It was basically a small blip on the map-he really had to dig to find it.

As far as us all looking alike. Keep in mind we all had different fathers. Amy has very dark hair and lite brownish eyes. Bekki has lite brown hair, brown eyes. I have blond hair, hazel eyes, and Deanna had blond hair with blue eyes. Just look at her myspace and you'll see a photo of all of use from when we were younger-standing by our Grandma.

Please also keep in mind as you search that there are a few other people out there with her name. Perhaps searching with her middle name (Michelle) would help.

Okay guys, I desperately need a volunteer!
Deanna's poster is a bit outdated. I would like a new one to put on her myspace page, etc. Really the only thing that needs to change is to add the info about the tattoos. I have NO earthly idea how to do the posters, and I unfortunately can't remember who made the original (I have a miserable memory). So if anyone could help make a new one-or give me details on how to make one or edit the old one that would be super! Here is the link to the original.

We were given several "composite" age progressions. Each time we were given one we were asked what we thought needed changed. The 1st one made her look like a man, I wish I was exagerating. The 2nd one made her look like she had eaten her twin, like she was 150 pounds over weight. The third one just needed a very few minor adjustments. We were told they were gonna do those adjustments and then we would have a final age progression....

And we're STILL waiting for that final one. I've asked Sgt.D about it and he said it's up to the volunteer artist to complete it.

Hi Kat,

I thought I had seen someone on WS who had done age progressions. I am relatively new to WebSleuths but I think I saw an age progression that someone had done on another case - but where? Do they have to be professionally done or can an acceptable progression be done by an artistic WS member for public distribution? I apologize for asking so many questions but would really like to see Missie get some traction on her missing sister.

Do you or Missie know how we can move forward on this? I can point towards an excellent WS member who is an artist but am unsure if any age progressions would be possible - don't know if they have been attempted before. Do we have to wait for the LE artist?

On a different search, there are only six Deanna's that come up under the whole country, with her exact birthdate. One of those if the FL one I pmed you. The others are:

This search was done on exact birthdate - are you able to do one for 02 Feb 1976, 02 Feb 1975, 02 Feb 1974, 02 Feb 1973, and to stretch it a bit one for 02 Feb 1972. If you let me in on your sleuthing secret I would do the searches or if they are time consuming we can split up the work.

Hi! Yes, I can do a search later tonight. I am literally leaving in 5 min to drive to CA, but will get online tonight and do some more research. I could clunk myself on the head for not checking those dates earlier---she might have tried to pass herself off as older, and could maybe even have changed the 1977 to a 1974 very easily. I will work on this in a few hours, I promise! As far as the "blip" that Missie is referring to with the 1995 contact, is there anyone here who is retired LE who could tell us why there might be a police report that identifies tattoos, but not an arrest etc? If it were a routine traffic stop, they would not have indicated tattoos, right? Are we correct in guessing domestic situation, where pics might have been taken?

Julessleuther, You are an absolute gem for continuing the search for the dates that would make Deanna "older" on paper than she actually is. If your search provides something concrete to go on all bets are on that we can search for any and all "internet footprints" .. giddy up go, that is what I like doing.

Hi MissieMt, Wow .. just wow .. there is a lot of information that you have provided over the past couple of years in regards to Deanna going missing. The first mention of an age progression was October 31, 2007 - did anything come of this - it was going to be done by NCMEC?

Excellent news on the checking of the bc's and SS cards for other family members - probably would have been requested for the oldest sister (Amy I believe) as that would give her an older age on paper.

I have a question about one of the pix showing on the Photobucket account - would it be ok to push the pix out here and see who it is a pix of - I am not sure by looking at it if it is a pix or an artist rendition?

I originally thought the age progression would be done by NCMEC but it was handed off to TXDPS.

Not all of the photos in that photobucket are of family members. Some of them are from past cases that I worked on. I don't think it would be good to publish them here since most have been found/identified.

ETA: I went ahead and moved the pics from previous cases to a private album. If there is still a photo on there that you have a question about than it can be published here.

Sorry guys I could not get online at the hotel last night! I did a search for 1974-1976, and nothing popped out. I saved all the names in a word doc, which I will try to post. Something definitely popped out for me for 1973 though, and I want to research this person much more, particularly because they once lived in Killeen, they seem to have had "several" names, and the middle initial is M.

I then did a search for the Lawrence person who is "related" and he also lived in Killeen, TX and appears to have been in the military. Here is the places he is listed as living:

I am very familiar with many of these NY and PA places, and I can tell you that they are small towns and not near military bases. Liverpool is the closest to a larger city, Syracuse. His related persons are the Deanna, and also a Audrey Labarre, who is 33. Any of these names ringing a bell Missie?

I lastly did a search for the Darcey Vanderpool and these are the names that came up for her:
