Wow. Never thought I'd find myself defending QX, but in this case I think if you read the qoutes attributed to him, you'll find his acessment of the situation right on the money. He seems to be disgusted with the cold-blooded evil exhibited by the dad.

This is something that I will never understand...how a parent can murder their own children. Do they look them in the eyes when they do it or make them turn their backs. Do they say I'm sorry or do they just shoot them down like dogs. How can anyone cause the death of a child that they helped put breath into and heard their first cry? Most of the time it has to do with revenging the mother I guess. In a way the mother gets her revenge for the murder of her children because the guy is caught and locked up for the rest of his life never to hurt anyone else. Not that the mothers wouldn't rather have their children but at least he is out of her hair forever and unable to hurt anyone else if it had to be that way.

I think this monster deserves the death penalty if anyone ever has. Bless those little children and their family with the exception of the father of course.

I haven't kept up with all the posts here, but from what I have read here and what I've heard on the news, has anyone mentioned that he killed his beautiful babies on Father's Day? Any day is horrible, of course, but I just keep thinking about my kids being so excited to get their Dad something and spend the day with him, and my husband loving all the attention. And then I think, it could have been the same with them had he not been so...I can't even think of any words to describe him. Those kids just look so precious and I know they would have been just like my kids and a million others just a week ago, excited and wanting to get something for their dad and just to be with him, had he been even 1/2 the father most are to their children. My heart just aches for them for what they must have gone through that day, not to mention all the other days previous.

Dad won't stand trial in kids' killings

A Pasadena father charged with killing his two young children has been ruled incompetent to stand trial.

The Harris County district attorney's office says a defendant found incompetent to stand trial is held in a state mental hospital and treated until he is judged competent to face the charges. Sylvester is due back in court in October.

HOUSTON -- A father will spend the rest of his life behind bars for murdering his two children, KPRC Local 2 reported.

On Tuesday, Randy Sylvester pleaded guilty to capital murder charges. He will never be eligible for parole.

Sylvester admitted to killing his son, Randy Jr., 7, and his daughter, Denim, 3, in 2008.
