This young man's head was found in Denton, TX. No info re the circumstances of how he was found.
His PMI is a year at least, possibly as early as 1981.
He had straight light-brown hair. Some mummified skin was still present on his skull.
The page bizarrely gives his weight as 67 pounds? No height estimate.

Thanks so much, I guess I wasn't quite clear on my title. Thanks for giving me a better picture on this, I love when you comment on my posts, amazing sleuthing. I can never find anything on the newspapers archives lol

(Forgot to mention in my first comment and can't edit anymore but he doesn't have a page at the TXDPS for the record)

Thanks for the compliment, @cheemsg!:)

I'm trying to find a follow-up from the Dallas County Medical Examiner, but I'm guessing it didn't hit the news?! Or, I'm not having luck finding it.

There are no rule-outs for this John Doe.

No rules outs and there's so many men missing in Texas between 1980-1984. Damn.
Lou Goettsch seems like he could be a match. Some guy confessed to his murder and said he just left him in some field and didn't bother to conceal his body, which sounds like what happened here. He was 21, had brown hair and died in 1981. But the distance from Abeline to Denton is just under 3 hours so idk.

If Rodney Dean Harper's story is true, he buried LAG in a shallow grave near the Greater Abilene Industrial District water tower, 200 miles from where our JD was found.

Arnaldo Silvati (35) and Gary Wayne Dover (31) both had brown hair and vanished from Denton, TX in 1981. Could be either of them if the age range is a bit off.

That is a weird weight estimate I wonder what that’s based on, a human head only weighs about 11 lbs so I wouldn’t think that if that’s all they had to weight it would even get that high

Pat Laurel found out his leg was also found so my theory is its actually a height estimate of 67 inches wrongly put in the weight section instead. 67 inches = 5'7.
